Winter Break / Christmahannukwanzaa
Going to be spending the Winter Break with your family?
Whatever your answer, will you enjoy the plans that you currently have?
Yes, I'm going home on the 20th, all of 45 minutes drive away from school. I intend to sleep from the 20th-25th to make up for not sleeping during finals. And from new year to the 8th, I'll be commuting back into the city to work for $8/hour in order to have some cash for next semester.
I'm at university, and about twenty-five hours away from my family. I'm going to be heading back to see them for about two weeks, but I'm not going to be spending it with them. In fact, I want to be in that house with them for as little time as possible. I love them from afar (as in, the closer to them I get, the more I can't stand them).
I know the feeling.
Usually within six hours of coming home, I wish that I'd found some way to avoid coming home at all.

I don't really have anywhere to go, as I live in Hell County, NC and my relatives are all in Ohio, and I can't drive.
This is my first Christmas as an atheist, in fact. Whoo whoo for me. I plan to spend it watching Harry Potter movies, posting on NSG, writing, doing my English project, and of course playing "Carol of the Bells" on my flute as much as possible.

Congratulations on coming out as an atheist. Heh. As far as religious beliefs, I identify as an agnostic secular humanist, but that's neither here nor there. Sounds like your Winter Break will be interesting. I plan on spending most of my two weeks drugged out of my head to avoid dealing with the insanity at home.
I'll lock myself in my room, blast my music, and come out only for the shower and food.

My parents don't know I'm an atheist.
My dad probably won't care, but my mom's going to raise hell. :(

So long as she takes it back with her when she goes, it'll be just fine, right?

For the record, it's actually

Heh. I'll keep that in mind.

Good.
Because the last thing you want is the PCPolice on you for it... :D

Eh, I'll take them and their lackeys as well. Saturnalia is a great holiday. Much better than most of the other silliness since. But this is getting slightly off-topic. :D
I read that as "PCP Police"

Christmas Eve and Christmas, with my family.
The 27th to the 1st, with my fiance and his family.
Works out pretty well.

Well, PC Police can be shortened to PCP. And while I do drugs, I wouldn't want that after me, that's for sure. But... off-topic! Heh!
PCP?
WHERE?
I did it for the lulz...

Where's the summer break option? :(
I'm going to be spending a lovely week by the beach, with my girlfriend's family. :)

there's no middle option between 'enjoy' and 'won't enjoy'.... my ideal option would be more like "meh *shrugs*"
i'll be with my family, as ever, hence the "meh", but will be seeing my gf as much as we can so that makes the holiday great :)

I live with my family, so yes, I'll be celebrating with them. I think some of my other relatives are coming here, too. It should be fun.:)

I will be spending it with my family but I can spend time with them anytime. The bad part is my gym is on reduced hours for over a month.
Somewhere between the first and second options. I don't exactly expect it to be a barrel of laughs, but it oughtn't be terible.

But, but, I'm an atheist and I celebrate Christmas, you can embrace the spirit of Christmas without embracing the story!
I don't get a winter break from work, just a three day weekend for Christmas and the same for New Year's. I'm spending Christmas in town with my boyfriend's family (eek!) and a friend is coming up from Long Beach to visit for New Year's. I'm also taking days off from work on the 2nd and 3rd, so that will be fun.
