In the opening credits, the main title plays. It seems to be in three languages: Japanese I'd assume, English, and...Latin?
Can anyone translate the phrase Aeria Gloris? It sounds like Latin to me, but I'm often wrong.

Well, Gloris seems relatively similar to "gloria", which means fame, or glory.
Aeria, on the other hand, doesn't ring a bell... the only word I know of that is even similar to it is "aeris", which means air, or weather, roughly speaking.
So... I do not know.

Yeah, I figured. Might just be a name, I googled it and came up with some fruity blogs and what not. I only know cursory Latin, I managed to fail at school, marching band, and job, so Latin suffered the most.

That's Inner Universe :D , and the Wikipedia page on it has a pretty extensive translation/description.

Probably a name from something in the show that die-hard fans would know. Ah, now that I think about it, the song goes:
"Stand in awe, stand in awe, Aeria Gloris, Aeria Gloris."
Probably the name of somethin'

I googled/wikid the phrase but came up with nothing, I'll check out the show.
And Ghost in the Shell is what it's called here.
which I think is way cooler sounding

No, no....the song is Inner Universe, sung by Origa, and written by Yoko Kanno(sp?). Just Wiki Inner Universe, and it should take you to the lyrics page. Also, Dogpile (in the audio section) "Inner Universe" for some neat remixes.
And, Aeria Gloris is supposed to mean "glory in the air/sky".

Hmmmph.....sorry, but now I'm not finding it on Wiki....I hate that!
I swear it was there earlier in the year....(why would someone take it away??)

Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure there isn't any japanese in it it. It's english, latin...and russian.
The singer, and the woman who helped write it, for all the japanese sounding, is actually russian. Her name is Origa, or Ol'ga Vitalevna Yakovleva

Just got to www.dogpile.com and click on the audio link....search for inner universe and check out what pops up. The one I mentioned earlier is the Self-Realization remix. Nothing major, but kinda cool.

I need to go to Japan and hopefully purchase boatloads of cheap anime, manga, and DS games. I can believe I can't get Elektroplankton for less than 60 bucks, as a bargain, most others are selling at 200+

If you lived in the US I'd offer to split the ticket with you and my two roomies, also great lovers of all things Japanese. But you live in the cool continent what with your poisonous everythings and drop bears!
