Look out Pittsburgh, Zilam is coming!
Well, its been 3 yrs since I've been, but I am leaving saturday morning and flying out to hang with my awesome grandma. So, natives of Steel City, anything going on that I should check out?
Also, this is my first time flying. With that in mind, lets play a game called "What you shouldn't do on a plane"
Im thinking if i stand up in my seat mid flight and yell praise allah, I might get tazered. Would it be worth it? Prolly not! :p Seriously though, what should I expect while flying?

Well, I'd be surprised if you didn't know my reply to this thread, but..
Philly is so much better.
I suggest a day trip to Philly, check out the Reading Terminal Market, but those damn tourists always getting in my way there.. *grunts*
And since I'm pretty sure you wont even be considering going to Philly for a day..
In Pitt, there is a place, that sells a sammich, and that sammich is something I'm wanting to stuff my face with. I shall let Jello Biafra tell you what the hell I'm trying to talk about.

You should come watch me while I sleep...or sleep with me ;)
Hey, Pittsburgh survived me and my sister, so it should be fine :p
Airplanes are scary. Takeoff feels strange to me.

things to expect while flying:
boredom,
turbulence,
disappointingly ugly cabin crew of both sexes (trolly dollies don't exist anymore),
spilt drinks,
irritating neighbours,
long waits,
lost baggage,
more boredom,
special extended cut price no-frills boredom,
hunger,
humourless groundstaff,
even more humourless security personell with a penchant for victimisation,
further boredom punctuated by moments of irritation.
that about sums up your average flight.
oh, i forgot. you'll get a fascinating new perspective on the land below you, and if there's clouds you'll get a fscinating new perspective on clouds. always get a window seat (but make sure you pee before getting on the plane and don't drink caffeinated or alcoholic drinks unless the flight is just an hour or so or your in the aile seat).

use the bathroom before you get on the plane, the "bathroom" on the plane is small and smelly.
bring gum so you can chew it on take off so your ears don't explode
don't do anything suspicious
and bring a good book to read so that people don't try to talk to you, plane people are always weird.

Better dress warm, it gets pretty cold this time of year. Help your grandma out by shoveling the snow off of her sidewalk and driveway. Have fun and a Merry Christmas. :)

It's too warm to get any snow here right now!
I believe a hoodie will do. *nods*
