You heard it here first. This part of Seattle is now without electricity, due to the storm. I can still post, since the phone lines still work, but I only have 74% battery power remaining in my laptop, which is probably less than an hour.
:(

Yeah ... it sucks. I'm only about a mile from campus though, so I can bus over and get faster internets when I have the need.
Even worse, I leave for home tomorrow afternoon. So, if the buses aren't running (people at the university tell me that some places are flooded) I'll miss my train.
I was also doing my laundry so I could have all my clothes packed and cleaned so I could take them with me. Alas.
44% ... my battery is shit ...

28% .... I fear I must soon bid farewell, barring a miraculous return to power.
Dim your screen! Shut down distributed computing programs! You can't lose internets...

I did all that I could. :(
Wow, that sucks. Of course, it's the dial up connection that's sucking away the power...if only you had wireless.

Time to go down with the ship, Captain.

People of NSG! I beseech you - mail me megawatts!

The router wouldn't have power.

I mean the internal network card, if you're connecting via USB.
