It seems the old star wars set in Tunesia has become home to poor folks sheltering from sandstorms and the harsh desert climate. This seems like the perfect vacation destination for star wars fans who want to learn about an alien Islamic culture.

Wow...I pulled off a combined Star Wars/Pink Floyd reference!

I am not sure if we should be hopeful or very scared.

I thought I sensed a disturbance in the force. I guess I'm not hungry......

What do you think that thing in his hands is? It's not fair to disturb someone while they're cleaning their desert and then complain about how dirty it is.

Thats slightly overexaggeration. I've been to Tunisia and the Star Wars set, and went to see some of the people who live in the desert. They're basically the same as any other person, except they choose to preserve the old way of life (slightly modified considering the satellite tucked secretly behind the house.)

Why tuck it away secretly? It would look kind of like a prop from the movie.

Well, two things:
1) It doesn't look good for tours if your talking about how these people live old-fashionedly while a big satellite dish is poking out for all to see.
2) A black television satellite doesn't make that much of a convincing Sci-Fi prop.

Ah, Tunisia. Good times..

Nice Pink Floyd reference! I love that. I love that line. I love that song. I sing it in the shower frequently.
