After two shooting against Fatah members which has resulted in the deaths of 3 children, a hamas linked judge has been killed by gunmen.
KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip - Palestinian gunmen forced a Hamas commander to his knees and shot him to death early Wednesday outside the courthouse where he worked as an Islamic judge, escalating factional tensions in the Gaza Strip and prompting the Palestinian prime minister to cut short a trip abroad.
Because of the recent shootings, the Palestinian Prime Minister is returning to the area.
As expected, Hamas blamed Fatah for his death and yet Fatah is denying it.
Looks like things are really starting to heat up in the Gaza strip.

They should have stayed to maintain law and ... oh, wait ...
Actually, for me, there's not even a rodent's rump in this.

Looks like the Palestinians could be heading towards civil war here, and that wouldn't be good for anyone. Still, I suppose we should be grateful that terrorists are busy killing other terrorists rather than targetting civilians.

Yes, that's flawless logic. "Well, now the violence is no longer against Israeli forces because they withdrew. Let's reinsert them to stop inside fighting!"

Actually, I think the IDF should deliver truckloads of weapons to Hamas and Fatah, so they can get this over with.

And the judge? You beat me to it.
This makes the sociopath in me laugh.
But seriously, if the Israelis were in there, they'd be getting pounded.
Do I support reoccupation by Israel? No. Rather have them pissed at each other than at Israel.

I don't know if you noticed, but there's an interesting development across the Middle East.
Sunni vs. Shia. In Lebanon. In Iraq. Makes Syria and Iran wary of each other. Makes Saudi Arabia promise to aid Sunni insurgents if the US leaves Iraq. Makes Iran supply Shia insurgents now.
All we have to do is give each of them a few nukes, and step back, and watch the fireworks.
Quite frankly, I'm scared to piss of the rising shia power. They have the highest birthrates and seem to have the worst martyr complex

Another nugget of wisdom from our American Republican party representative...
And yet the new chairman of the House Intelligence Committee can't decipher Hezbollah from Al Qaeda:

WASHINGTON — He is expected to have an acute understanding of terrorist groups and their threats to American interests. But the incoming chairman of a congressional intelligence committee was yesterday struggling to explain his ignorance of Al Qaeda and Hezbollah.
So both parties have their idiots.

I find it a little ironic that Faux "News" is calling out this Congressman because he does not know which branch of extremist Islam Al Qaeda and Hezbollah come from when Bush had no idea that there were Sunni's and Shiite's in Iraq!
Not that I am defending the incoming Chairman of the House Intelligence committee.
It is sad that our supposed "leaders" know less about politics and world events than your average NSG member

Would you prefer CNN, Rueters, MSNBC, or the Associated Press? They are all reporting the samething that the new head of the House Intel committee does not know what he is talking about in terms of intelligence.

I find it a little ironic that you're ignorant of the fact that it was Congressional Quarterly who called out this Congressman because he was dumb as a post.
It's one thing to nominate someone stupid - it's quite another after your party has run on a platform of "Kerry=Smart, Bush=Stupid".
Additionaly Reyes recommends that we put more troops into Iraq. Gee, if Bush said that, you would accuse him of "staying the course" or worse.
"It's not stupid if we do it."

Though non-American, I fully realise that the idiocy level in certain areas of foriegn policy will vary by barely perceptible degrees.
However its in these small degrees that the difference between a few hundred thousand being dead, rather than alive, can be found.

If you think there's a small degree between Reyes and Bush, you're sadly mistaken.
Reyes is recommending the same thing as Bush - that we put more troops into Iraq, much to the chagrin of Pelosi.
