Why is this allowed?
Their prayer breakfasts are in the inner ring of the pentagon!
You have people like James Kennedy giving "chats."
Evangelizing in the armed forces is supposed to be a bozo nono! Simply because if a superior starts talking about God, you can't tell him to F'off!

How long you been under that rock, lad? And didn't you follow all the hemming and hawing and squirming and dodging that went on in the last couple years over the in your face evangelism at the Air Force Academy? Of course these people have access. There are no atheists in the foxholes. Otherwise the terrorists win. Think of the children. And anyway, it's all Bill Clinton's fault for never putting on his country's uniform.

Yeah, this is what happens when you elect evangelicals like Bush. He lets the line between church and state go all to hell. A real president would realize that he's the commander in chief of the armed forces and that he's sworn to uphold the constitution and he'd have the balls to put his foot down when the folks under him decide to use their government-granted power to promote a given religion.

You think it's a coincidence that major evangelical groups put their headquarters in the same location as the Air Force Academy? ;)

It's a good thing we have the People's Republic of Boulder just about the same distance to the north to balance the Holy Kingdom of Colorado Springs on the south. Keeps Denver nice and balanced.

Not necessarily. Very often in January and February it'll get up into the 40s and 50s and it's sunny a really annoying amount of the time. Over 300 days a year. You could run into a cold snap and if you're up in the mountains, above say 7,000 feet, yeah, it'll get pretty chilly. And snowy. But down in Denver and Boulder (they have wind in Boulder, bring heavy shoes) it can be very nice in the winter. Heck, last winter the stupid tulips started coming up in early March.

Well, I'm living in south Florida these days--50 is the depths of winter around here. The wedding is in Evergreen, which is in the mountains I believe, so we're planning as if there will be snow. Fucking snow.
I'm glad, however, that there are people who like that weather, because we're already too crowded down here in the warmer regions. ;)

Okay, yes, well, south Florida. I remember when I was at school in Sarasota, it would get down below 70 and people would go crazy. I grew up in New Jersey, so I know northern winters, and I remember to this day the epiphany when I walked out of my dorm room around the 10th of January, in only a tee shirt and jeans, 70 degrees and realized it was JANUARY!
Evergreen, huh? You might want to preprare, but the chances are good you'll be okay.

"The Christian Embassy" doesn't actually appear to be an embassy. What a disappointment.
