Hey everyone,
I beleive Russia's up to something, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16102877/from/id/16122363/ They have successfully contaminated four people and maybe others with radiation and on a British plane, this happened recently, and that would mean they successfully brought dangerous substances on board an airliner with top security (because of terrorists) and somehow left police baffled, and I also heard that Russian planes have been crashing constantly during last summer, I think Russia's milking the oppurtunity. America focussed on Iraq, the other superpowers focused on middle east and North Korea, it seems like a perfect oppurtunity.
Thoughts?

A perfect opportunity...for what? Don't you think the Russian government has better things to do than running around sprinkling radioactive dust in some ex spy's borscht?

No. With the cold war over, what else does Russian secret intelligence have to do?

Hmm the guy killed was specializing in weeding out corruption, and Russia could easily seize land from lefty Europe.
It's a Neo-Soviet conspiracy, my main man! The Russians only went Democratic in name only. Putin's party hasn't lost a single election since Glasnost...Glasnot! more like it...
The Commies marginalized themselves to pull the heat off of them while they orchestrated this plot to destroy the West. Iran is recieving huge amounts of Neo-Sov' weapons technology...Iran gives that to terror groups like Hezbollah and the Iraqi insurgent groups most favourable to them! Iran and North Korea are sharing missile and nuclear weapons technology...which I just assume comes from the Russians and the Chinese.
Venezuela signed an alliance of sorts with Belarus, North Korea and Iran not too long ago. Hugo Chavez is buying up Neo-Soviet weapons systems like crazy...trading oil to an allegedly bankrupt Neo-Soviet Military state, along with Iran.
Dudes, we're totally screwed out here in the West. I advise everyone in Nationstates invest in lead suits and shotguns.

well someone in Russia is up to something, whether it's the government, the mafia, overzealous secret agents or patriot extremists, we may never know.....the poison used is a rare substance and to get takes some very good connections to acquire.....There have been a number of political assassinations in Russia they appear for the most part to be the work of the mafia and done for economic gain.....

The whole thing stinks. Slow poisoning is a crap way to assasinate anyone (they get a few days to badmouth you and call in all their favours, with absolutely nothing to lose) and using an obscure vector like a polonium isotope really narrows the field of suspects.
It's a frame-up, or some kind of promotional thing. "We snuff em, you pay, random Russian dude takes the blame. KGB for hire!"
