So, if we just killed off all of our livestock right now, we could meet (and beat) the Kyoto targets (more than if we started driving electric cars, etc).
Between the use of fertilizer, water, etc - the cows apparently emit "wind and manure" (a nice way to say they fart like hell) that is more of a threat to our atmosphere than the cars and planes we move around in.
So! More tofu for everyone, and let's kill off the livestock for one final grand roast - and watch the greenhouse gas emissions plummet 18% in a single year...

It seems that every time I read about the potential threat of methane on global warming it becomes increasingly more dangerous. When I first read about it, it was only 4 times worse than carbon dioxide, then later it was ten, now apparently it's 20 times worse than carbon dioxide. And this was just from sources I read this year. I dont think anybody really knows how much worse methane really is compared to carbon dioxide
Anyways the methane and carbon dioxide are actually being produce by the cellulose degrading bacteria and they are looking into ways of replacing the methanogenic bacteria with acetogenic bacteria. With rather limited success mind you.
But to hell with tofu. I want beef I want it now, I'm gonna eat it because its red, I'm gonna eat it because its dead. Maybe I should eat it raw and let the blood run down my jaw.

I am in full agreement, the cows must be stopped! They're frequent and unremorseful use of chemical and biological attacks against humanity have continued in spite of constant pleas to stop from both the UN and various other governing bodies.
