War on Christmas. Im so fucking tired of hearing about this bullshit. Who came up with that term? Probably some asshole with a bloated sense of self-importance... Attention: There is no war on Christmas. When the cops bust into your place for having a Christmas tree then you can you bitch about it all you want, but until then, please spare me, and the vast majority of Americans your drama.
Now, not to say that "Happy Holidays" doesn't piss me off, it does. But not for the reasons you might think. When I go into a Target, EB Games, etc. What kind of decorations do I see everywhere? Ornaments, "Christmas" trees, wrapped presents, snowmen, etc. And whats playing on the PA system? Music that people traditionally associate with Christmas. Listen assholes, if you're going to go with "Happy Holidays" then at least throw in some Dredels, those candlestick things, and whatever the hell they have for Kwanza. Fucking hypocrites. They [the retailers] want to appear to be politically correct, but they still put up all the Christmas decorations and music to get people into a spending mood.
</end rant>
Mods, if you think this is too offensive or is flamebait then delete it or lock it, thanks.

As it's your right to disagree with those who think Christmas has come under fire as is God and Christianity, it's their right to think there is a "War on Christmas" Anyways, I really don't think there's a "War" per say but is more related to people's/companies actions and whatnot. I would also think that the alleged "War on Christmas" is definately linked under the alleged "War on God/Christianity"
Anyhow, it's, in my opinion, is just a voice of a minority who think there's an alleged War on whatever. I think this goes along the lines of certain minority groups just having bigger mouths than the majority, nothing more nothing less.
I'll continue my daily routines and I'll be wishing people Merry Christmas during the Christmas season just like I did similarily for Thanksgiving by wishing people Happy Thanksgiving, and just as I plan on wishing people a Happy New Year when the time comes.
I feel it's stupid to get offended by something that you or anybody can't control and by doing so greatly enhances the chances of getting ulcers or whatnot. Stay Healthy, Merry Christmas. :)

I can't believe that you wrote this much about something so unimportant, or that you think there's a war on Christianity.

In short, paranoia is just another way to express oneself in this great hegemonic quasi-democracy of ours. Got it.

Honestly, I didn't realize how much I wrote until after I submitted. It's okay though. :D

No one said you had to shop from there anyway.
And businesses only care about the profit they make,
thats the bottom line.

Can we all agree that if you can't point out one specific nation state on both sides of a war, then it's not a war?
So:
War on Chrismas:Nobody vs. nobody, no war.
War in Iraq:America vs. Iraq, war.
War on terror:America vs. nobody, no war.
War on drugs:America vs. nobody, no war.
etc.

it does not always have to be between nation-states. ever heard of a civil war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_war)?
Yes, those are wars by that method:
American civil war:USA vs. Confederacy(which was seperate from the US for the duration of the war), war.
and so on.
