I love that game. I just started playing it online, and I am making SIMS maps. It is so cool! Maybe we could start an alliance...

Oh. I thought this thread was going to be educational, seeing as I'm studying Greek/Roman stuff in college. But never mind...

I also am disappointed. I was hoping for something interesting about the Titanomachy.

Age of Mythology is superior to Civilization IV. AoM was also rather boring once you got through the campaign, but boy that was a fun campaign! :D

I played AoM, and agree. I also feel like that no matter how much the computer destroys and takes over, it never seems to expand. If your getting what I am saying- So you will have a 8 all against all map and when you get down to the nitty gritty and you have 4 or 5 towns you expect the computer to be also really expanded to maybe a town or two.

Usually your disappointed, the computer is still using one measly town, and has all of its resource camps all over the place, but no where protected. So you just run around the countryside, killing and destroying, then have a merry time whittling him down.

In Civilization the AI plays a lot different and the gameplay is a lot more realistic in the sense that it is very hard to annahilate your opponents with one good army (which is very easy to do in AoM, destroy their town, and the AI is dead, and vice-versa for you).

Heh, you both have been here for the same amount of time. Who's n00bish now?

And while Spore looks good, I put more faith in Medieval II and Company of Heroes.
Just as soon as I get the computer that will play them :p .

Well you don't have to say it out loud! Just ignore the thread like a mature human being.

No kidding- I can't believe how pathetic the computer players are. There are only about one or two differences between the types of enemies that they can be, and they're still puny.

Now that's fun. Personally, I enjoy hacking up all the workers and farmers, leaving, then coming back later and doing the same thing. Once I get bored of it, I'll usually just tear down the whole enemy city with five cataputs.

I'm honestly not a big fan of Civ IV; I though II and III were both better.

Some things just font look right in 3D, like the current pics for Europa Universalis III. I think the same applies to Civ IV

Ensemble Studios has never let me down. I never got into AoM or AoT though. I stick with the Age of Empires series instead. They're all better with online play if you've got the stomach and skills for it.

I LOVE civilization

I am always last ranked though = (. I guess I'd suck if I had my own nation.

Oh, I just finished playing it. It's fun, but I don't enjoy multiplayer PC games that much, sorry. I prefer playing aginst the computer: less hassle that way.
