Well, the first was when I had to go in for gonads surgery. But then I relaxed, and was quipping on my way to the table.

The second is more personal. I had a dream that the girl I liked (She is hot.) was going out with a certain person. He had the face of Frank Burns (a M*A*S*H character) and I referred to him once as "Ferret Face" (Frank's nickname on the show) I quit watching M*A*S*H for about two days after that.

The scariest thing that's ever happened to me that I would be willing to talk about here was when I was in a road trip with my family in Japan when I was around eight years old. We were stuck in a traffic jam, but with my grandfather's extreme stuborness and annoyingness, we found ourselves wandering around the country side looking for a shortcut over a certain stretch of mountains. We were soon completely lost (even with my grandfather's map reading "competance"), and we asked for directions from a cop (and probably the evilest man in the world). So, we were climbing up the mountain road, and everything was going great. It was a beautiful emty road, and we were having fun. However, a little while past the crest of the mountain, the road disappeared. Totally gone. We found ourselves on an incredibaly steep, skinny part of the road, only instead of pavement, it was watery mud. I was 100% sure I was going to die. We half slid, half braked our way down the mountain on what little path existed as I sat in the back of the car with tears streaming down my cheeks...We were probably on that mud path for fifteen or twenty minutes, and it was scary!

I've done scarier/stupider things, but that one makes for the best story that I'm willing to tell. I still don't really know what happened to the road, there was a big storm the night before our trip, and maybe people drive down that dirt road alot and we were just unlucky...OR, maybe there was an evil police plot to take out my family! :p

I was going to post on this thread a few hours ago but nobody seemed to be taking it seriously. Kiryu-shi's story, though, made me re-think it. I actually had a similar experience of getting lost in the wild. I was 4 and we got lost in a national park and I kept on seeing these ‘danger; wild boar’ signs. I swear I kept thinking that a wild boar was going to jump out and attack us; despite being on my great Uncle's shoulders (whose over 6'). Actually I'm pretty sure that all the boars were behind fences; and that it must've been a precaution, but still, it really scared me.

Another thing that creeped the life out of me was when I went on a trip to the beach with my friend and her babysitter. We crammed into her tiny car and headed off. After perhaps half an hour we got to this unsurfaced dirt track; but we must've missed the turn-off to the beach because we couldn’t find it. We couldn't turn around because to either side of the road was a steep embankment. So we took the next turn off; and were quickly greeted by a sign saying 'Danger Mines' with the skull and crossbones symbol. I have no idea how the poor babysitter managed with a bunch of us shrieking 'turn around!' behind her, but we did manage to get out of there. What's worse is that we kept on going up the road and ended up in a smashed up old army base and couldn't turn around either so shaken as we were we had to get out and help her turn. We never went to the beach that day...

I had a story about THE DRAGONFLY but I thought my post would be too long. Would you like to hear the, ahem, fantastic story of the evil dragonfly? Looking back it's more funny than frightening though...

When I was in a van in China the driver was all of the road(which was not well paved) going faster than I have ever been before sharing the road with big rigs. Not comfortable, at all. In fact at that time I was an atheist and yet I found myself praying to God that I didn't die.;) Thankfully, he was watching out for me.

The first would be being told I had Stage IV-B Hodgkin's Disease, and had about a 50/50 chance of seeing my 30th birthday.

The second was having a main chute failure on a night jump. Got clear of the main and deployed my reserve damn fast, but doing all that in pitch darkness was terrifying.

A couple of friends and I went to north of Collingwood a few kilometers for some hiking and nature exploring. We stopped on the highway now and then to check our map to see where we were going (there wasn't much direction). When we were on the highway, we stopped halfway to see a fairly derelict tree house on a tree in the backyard of a small dilapidated house. It had a small dirt road connecting as the driveway and the house was caved in. We thought it was abandoned, and since the car was extremely hot inside, we stopped on the side of the road to check it out and read the map.

Me and my friends (three guys including me and a girl, just so you know that I'm not a complete loser since I have a female in my group) walked to the tree house, and it smelled extremely bad, though not that bad. Something was rotten. Anyways, we climbed up the tree into the small house, where we found a couple of actual rotting human fingers and some teeth. Suffice to say, we called the police and were 100% freaked out.

Long story short, when we were driving back to Collingwood, we got scared as hell when we saw that tree house in the distance.

Either that or goatse.

White water kayaking while I was still learning, I made a mistake and ended up with my boat being flipped longways and me hitting my head on an underwater rock. It split my helmet and knocked me unconcious upside down in the water. I do actually owe my life to a friend who spotted my boat upside down and knew I could roll so knew there was something wrong and pulled me back over.

That was probably the scariest moment in my life and it took me a couple of years before I'd river run again. I still don't enjoy it all that much because the fear is still there.

Pretty please, no more mentions on goatse or lemon party or tubgirl etc. It jsut enocourages those people who havent been mentally scared before to go look.

Anyway, my scariest moments usually involve my dads driving. I remember going round greece in a renault megan (not the best off road car) and he kept deciding to drive up there tiny little dirt tracks very very fast. It wasnt nice. Then there was driving round teh pyreneese mountains very fast, and there are a LOT of bends arround there along with thousand foot drop offs to the side.

Just woke up from another scary dream about charlie tho (my ex, who i am still in love with). I do start to worry about my mental state sometimes after dreams like that...

I was ten and was sleeping in my bed when I heard this huge bang off in the distance. I didn't worry about it until I heard another one, but louder this time. I looked out the window and saw three planes on the horizon that were visible because of the light of the nearest village burning. And then I saw another one and it was much closer, practically right over m. It was flying so low, it looked like it could scrape the roof of my house with its wings. I sat on the floor and waited for the bombs to drop, but they didn't. It was the scariest night of my life.

The worst moment of my life was when I was in Master-At-Arms school. We had to certify in carrying OC Spray as part of our job. To certify we had to be sprayed in the face with it and go through an obstacle course. It's like pepper spray only ten times worse and there's no way to get rid of the effects except for getting th excess spray off and time.

The worst part was watching the other MA's getting sprayed and watching the line get smaller and smaller as my turn came up. My heart raced, I was scared out of my mind, wondering why I was doing this. Just before I went up I got into a prayer group with a few other. Then, it was my turn. I walked up to the line, closed my eyes and mouth and he sprayed me in the face. The pain was...unexplainable. Words escape me on how to describe the pain. It's like dunking your face in hot grease then rubbing broken glass in your face. I opened my eyes and began to blink, whipping my head from side to side to get some of it off. It seared into my skin, my face felt like it was on fire. I had to do take down moves on this one guy, then they gave me a baton and I had to strike these strike bags. The pain was so bad I couldn't scream, I couldn't swear, I couldn't think. The course lasted forever and at the end I had to stick my head in a bucket of water. I found God in that water because the pain dissolved away and it was like a visit from Jeusus himself. However, I took my head out of the water and water is what activates the spray and is the only way to get it off so the pain flared ten times greater than it was before.

I was guided into the bathroom where I rubbed baby shampoo in my eyes. The spray was all on my shirt and arms so I ripped off my shirt and raced around the bathroom. I ended up shirtless, wet, and in pain as I fell to the ground up against the wall. I kept saying
"I can't believe I fucking did that" The effects lasted for a whole day as I recovered. That was the worst pain of my life. But I think I came out a better person because I had to dig deep within myself to find the courage to get through that ordeal.

My friends and I were parked in some subdivision so we could roll a blunt before driving off to smoke it. We have all the weed out and some asshole starts walking down his yard with a phone in his hand towards our car. I saw him and immidiately told the driver to get the fuck outta here. We sped off before he was in talkign distance, but we had all assumed he was calling the cops.
