France 24 - the French international response to BBC, CNN & Al Jazeera - has now launched on the Internet, and will launch on television tomorrow.

I'm currently watching it here (http://www.france24.com/live/).

Well, it's certainly interesting to see another point of view beside the Anglo one being projected, not that I'll be watching the English language version all that much.

I think every nation should have its own mouthpiece. France speaks for France and thats about it. Will watch it just to see the spin they put on the world events. Won't give them any more sway then the rest of the so called 24hr world news services.

Yep, that's all the world needs is yet another biased media outlet. I wished something could be done to control the media a little bit in regards to the biasedness. Like an independent company to investigate them to ensure #1 TRUTH to the People. and fairnesses in reporting , etc...

*wakes up from the dream* :D

Hello, little troll! Where have you been hiding?

I take it that it would be too much to expect you to have watched it before you start flinging silly accusations around? I mean, that would make too much sense, wouldn't it?

It's okay to call me a troll if it truly makes you feel better. Anyways, are you denying that practically all media outlets has some sort of biasedness to their reporting. This is how I feel about the media period, it's how I feel about any and all of the media outlets operation and until they lose their biasedness and start telling the people of the world the truth and giving us Facts, not their biased opinions, Only then will I change my views regarding the media outlets and their journalists.

I wasn't just criticizing the France 24. I was criticizing all the news outlets. Whenever the news proves to start telling the truth to the people instead of playing the people like a bunch of idiots only then will I change my views and dislike for the news. This includes CNN, FNC, BBC, and yes even your precious France 24.

Here's your Troll: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll

I know what a troll is in myth, thank you.

It just struck me as ironic that you would be criticising "media bias" when

a) You haven't even bothered to check France 24 out yet. Heck, maybe it will be. I don't know. I'm smart enough to take anything the media says with a huge pinch of salt and double-check it with as many other sources as possible. But calling for unbiased media and accusing a new one of bias before having looked at it is fundamentally illogical.

b) Your own views tend to be extreme, simplistic (in my view) and (again, in my view) extremely ill-informed, rejecting any facts that don't suit you and embracing the most irrational bias and lies. That's based on my observation of your posts in other threads.

But then, I tend to think that your most ignorant and simplistic posts are just an act, an attempt at trolling, and not what you really believe. Perhaps I still hold too optimistic a view of human beings...

For starters. I am unable to view France 24 considering the computer I use has no sound. As for me placing the biased label on them is simply for the fact that practically every media outlet throughout the world has a certain point of biasedness to it. Why would France 24 be any different? I suppose it's possible considering anything is possible but I do find it to be more like.....unlikely. Reason is because it is ran by humans. Humans are filled with imperfections, So I suppose I placed that biased label based on common sense.

As for you claiming my views by your observations from previous posts, well, you're entitled to your opinion and I have a right to my opinions. As "extreme" do you mean that I come out Strong in replying. Quite possibly, it is also quite possible that my words chosen are either, on my part or others, misinterpreted, poorly chosen by me, mistyped, misread, etc....Human error, quite possibly, I am Human and when I do make an error I do admit to it and normally apologize for it. As for extreme views, I could actually say that in regards to yours too. I don't go around falsely calling you a troll or what ever else.

As for France 24, I hope they do right and tell the facts and be truthful to the People for a change. To many people depend on and trust the media outlets even though the People are treated as Idiots. So I do hope that France 24 proves me wrong. But I won't get my hopes up. There's a lot of convincing to do and France 24 has all of the media outlets throughout the world to thank for that. Have a nice day, Ariddia. :) I'll try not to respond to anymore of your posts. I'm sorry if you feel that my views and Opinions are Extreme.

I like it. I watch France 2 from time to time, and I am interested in current events in France, but it's nice to have a world news to watch in French.

To bad France 24 is not translated to English/Arabic as it appears with the language tabs. Was dissapointed to find out that the English/French/Arabic tabs on the main site were all linked to the French speaking channel with no interpetation.

I got it in English when I first loaded it, and had to switch it to French.

You got the text in English as I did. But was the video in English or French with English subtitle?

Edit: Ah I found out what I was doing with it. It is in standard English as you found. Guess that is what I get for not paying close attention to what I was clicking on.

I am going to get Al-Jazeera English when available for my paytv here in Aus, just because I want an alternate look on world events and the like that isnt so blatantly right wing and shares my views.

I watch Al-Jazeera myself (Arabic) version. They are as biased if not more then most westren news sources. Would caution to not take everything for face value. However it is a different view of things and one can get something out of it.
