Did you freak out when you first saw Santa? Tell me your personal experiences as a child when you encountered this would-be pedophile who visits children in the night...

I hear that I threw up on him, although I puked on everyone then since I was 3 days old at the time.
Cannot think of a name

I don't remember. I did spend two years as a costumed childrens performer (a cut rate clown dressed as a cartoon character, most often a Ninja Turtle) and last year I was the Easter Bunny at a mall-kids can be damn terrified of them.
Mostly it's because kids' ain't stupid-they know I'm a dude in a suit, they are choosing to suspend disbelief in the same way you know that guy on stage isn't really the prince of Denmark-they don't know that's what they are doing but they are doing it. Some kids just get freaked out by the whole thing.
I spent a solid two hours last year getting this kid to warm up to me, hard to do because in that costume I couldn't talk. She was my biggest fan after that, though. Cause I'm good at my job...or was..I don't do that anymore.

I don't remember, to be honest. Of course, I'm so old that Santa didn't even shave. I do know that this is a not uncommon reaction among little kids. Santa's fine on TV and in picture books, but up close and personal a fat man with a huge beard and a red suit is a little scary.

I don't remember ever meeting Santa at a shopping centre or anything like that.
I do remember meeting Mr Blobby once...scarred me for life, that did.

My first visit I just drooled and stared. I wasn't really big on the whole Santa thing anyway, my parents never really encouraged my belief in him, and I ruined a bunch of Christmases for my friends in telling them he wasn't real.
The Easter Bunny, however, was a different story. In my six-year-old mind, I absolutely knew he existed, and no one could convince me otherwise.
Kids are weird. :D

To quote someone I knew a long time ago...
"I'm the dyslexic who sold their soul to Santa!"
Considering that the ice caps are melting, Santa trading his sled for one of these seems like a very good idea :D
