Revolution

I don't know what it is.... I'm not a revolutionist type, i.e i'm not far left but quite moderate and I am comfortable with my lifestyle.

However part of me just desperately wants a revolution, a huge change. Things need to change, I don't know what and I don't know how. I just don't think we can keep on going on like this, whatever 'this' is?

Does anyone else feel the same way? Or am I crazy?

You know you asked for this:

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
Ah

ah, ah, ah, ah, ah...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
all right, all right, all right
all right, all right, all right

If you don't know what and how, there's no need for a revolution, to be honest.

And I think it's probably just you being subconsciously worried about a part of your personality or somesuch. I dunno that you're crazy, mind. Just bored.

Yeah that would help but thats only short term. Maybe I should organize an NSG revolution to keep me satisfied for a while. The qestion is, what would the demands be?

For MTAE to be sent some place far,far away.

Here's one, MTAE should be made to stay in the forum and compose weird and wonderful troll-threads for our amusement.

We could get him to do it over and over again.Bring him back, then let him run free again. This time with a different animal.

Anyone else think we're going too far into this?Or is horrifically torturing MTAE a fantasy for most people on here?

He was full of himself but I don't think he was a moron. Those threads showed evidence of actual thought, unlike, for instance, Kohlstein's recent "Evolution is a myth". All he put up as an OP was "If you think we are descended from monkeys, let me know and I'll give you evidence that evolution is wrong." Or Soviestan's recent post-conversion threads where he goes to great lengths to defend Islam against non-existent attacks. No, MTAE worked on his stuff. At one point I thought he was taking issues from the Game and reworking them but they went beyond just that. So, if he really does stay away, I will miss him. I do want to shake some sense into him, though.

Oh I didn't mean moron as in stupid.I meant moron as in his ideas were moronic to me-"John Bolton is teh sex" and all that.He certainly wasn't stupid, that's for sure,he knew what he was talking about all the time.I saw Kohlstein's post, and couldn't stop laughing, and I've been on a few of Soviestan's posts and most of the time I don't dignify him with an answer because it tends to be about Jews of some description.

So here we are.
R.I.P. MTAE.

It was shut down because MTAE was posting around a forum ban, a big no-no, even if you're doing it as a "goodbye, cruel world" kind of gesture. Charges of mod-bias didn't help matters either.

In my defense, I chose "the proletariat will suck the blood of the capitalist" assuming that we are speaking figuratively. Revolutions need not be violent. I would not support the violent overthrow of a democratic nation (socialist or capitalist), but I would try to help create the conditions for a peaceful revolution. Reformist socialist is not an option that is in the workers' best interests. We need a revolution. Not a revolution with guns, but a total reconstruction of society.

In order to shake some sense into a person, that person has to be honest in the first place. MTAE, as far as I could tell, didn't actually believe the shit he spewed--he just liked the game. That's why I never bothered with him.

That's right, he did take the opportunity to go after the Mods. Threw in the word "liberal," too, his favorite curse-word.

In general, I ignored him--put him on the actual ignore list at the end, which is rare for me. At first, I marveled--I still think his "Mark Foley equals Rosa Parks" opening post is a work of art--but the act got old really quick.

Much as you want to be revolutionary deep down, I want to be counter-revolutionary. It's a facet of all of our personalities, a desire to represent the most aggressive and extreme facets of ourselves, in one all-defining struggle, one way or another.

Time for more song lyrics. Revolution all the way!

For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling

Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling

Gotta push, gotta push it on through
