mkmk1.com/kozlovsky go to his links page and you will find a large number of musicians who play my kind of music (tecno/ambient/electronica). most of whome offer at least some free samples and or have links to other musicans who do.

it really depends entirely on what you're looking for. if your taste differs from mine (and i'm guessing it probably does, or they'd be playing mine on the radio a lot more often), what i would suggest is googling up your favorite bands or musicans, you'd be surprised how many of them run or have, their own web sites. if one doesn't offer legitimately free samples, look to their links, somewhere in them you will almost certainly find someone who does.

and DO support them with actualy buying their stuff if you can, but at any rate, many can and do, give samples, sometimes even whole pieces of respectable length, legitimately and legaly. it is, after all, THEIR music. NOT the 'music industry's.

Youtube has some videos of orchestras playing various pieces, though I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

there's loads of sites that cater to specific tastes and have there own streaming mixes and stuff. i used to listen to mixes on drum&bass arena alot (breakbeat.co.uk), they had a new one every couple of weeks i think. haven't been on there recently so i don't know if they're still at it. failing that, bbc radio put's all their shows online for free. the quality's a bit shitty but it means you can listen to their late night shows whenever you like.

oh and +1 for "i listen to pandora in the uk", i used the zip code for 1 times square, new york.
