Yeah, never mess with those North Carolina police. You know, the ones who knock your door in if you've stolen a few Playstations and answer the door with a game controller in your hand. And then riddle you with bullets as you stand there unarmed.

Yes, that game controller ONLY works as a weapon in-game - not in real life.

And it looks like they got little Toto, too...

To early for everybody to jump on the anti-Police bandwagon. Let the investigation take place to find the truth of the matter. Right now it's all he/she say stuff.

Why would you need armed cops to go to arrest a kid that has knicked a couple of Playstations?!?

Because stealing is wrong! Plus you don't know is a thief is armed or not.

Is it the norm for a thief in the USA to be armed?

No. 91 to 93 percent of VIOLENT crime committed in the US is done without any weapon at all.

In a court of law. The police have the right to treat you as guilty until you have been arraigned. If they didn't they could never detain or arrest anyone. It is also important to note that they didn't just steal these playstations from a store shelf. They attacked and brutaly beat someone in order to steal them.
