What Do Women Want?

Ok, I was reading this blog
http://www.violentacres.com/archives/51/how-feminism-ruined-my-sex-life
and got a fair chuckle out of it.

This forum seems to have a number of threads that consist of:

"I'm a nice guy, why do women dump/ignore/step on me?"
"Rape is evil and so is anyone who even says the word."
"You're an evil feminazi! - no, I'm just a woman who knows how to say no."

So - a few questions after you read it (and it doesn't matter to me if the article offends or doesn't offend).

1. For the women - are you really wanting (if you're hetero that is) the man to have at least some level of aggression/backbone/balls? How much is too much?
2. For the men - how aggro are you? Be honest. Does it work for you and (if you're hetero) your woman?
3. Does it work the other way around?

dunno, I consider myself a wimp when it comes to women.

guess it really doesn't work since I have no girlfriend... of course the fact that I am probably shy to the point of being near chronic about it may also have a reason for that.

Of course.

After having a spineless jelly fish for an ex-boyfriend, my current boyfriend (of more than three years) has the kind of backbone I like. Guys, at least for me, need fucking balls because I'm not a high-maintenance chick. I like a guy who won't whine if I body check him, and does it back to me.

I also find it sexy when my boyfriend says "no" to me when I want something... (usually involving him getting up to get me something to drink) It makes my life fun.

Plus it means he won't put up with my shit unless he knows I'm playing around. It's no fun when I guy just takes my shit and doesn't dish it back.

I also stand up for what's right and is willing to do anything and I mean anything to protect the one that I love and care about, and yes, that does include picking up a gun.

She doesn't want the guy to get her a soda, she wants a soda and is trying to get the guy to get it for her. Back in what I like to refer to as "my bad old days" I found that there certainly was a type of woman who was very impressed by having the ability to fight other blokes and generally act like a neanderthal. Nowadays, I find I wouldn't touch those type of women with a bargepole.

2. In daily life, I'm very non-agressive unless there is a threat to me or someone I care about, and even then I can go great lenghts to avoid violence or anything like that. That does not mean I don't stand up for myself or others, just that I try to avoid physical fights.

Assertiveness is a degree of aggression in this case. I'm wondering if women want a man who is completely subservient and spineless. Or, alternatively, what degree of "aggression" they see as healthy.

I'm a guy, and the only time I am aggressive is when I'm playing sports or when I feel something is very, very unfair. I guess strictly from a "romantic" relationship with women standpoint it has worked for me, I've been asked out by, iirc, three different girls and have a pretty ok number of girls hit on me. I don't believe that my last relationship ended because I wasn't aggresive enough, the girl was afraid of almost any aggression that I almost showed. I've been single since the summer by choice. In my opinion women want different things, depending on the what kind of person she is. All women do not want one thing.

hmm........and how does one "Be a man" exactly?

I used to be the nice guy, you know I would bend over backwards for women, I would worship the ground they walk on, etc. Hell I even would date any woman that I could get. However that system sucked because women just saw me as weak, and a wimp and easy to use. In fact one of my ex's took advantage of it. So I sat down, decided what my morals and values were, and decided to not deviate from them at any cost. I also wrote down what I think is right and righteous, and decided not to deviate from them at any cost either. Finally I've decided that a man is someone who provides for his family, for his love ones, a man who doesn't allow his balls to be kicked around and be used as a doormat. As I re-evaluate the image I want to present to the opposite sex, I've begin turning down women who really weren't my type. A man isn't a spineless wimp who bends over backwards for women, but he isn't an abusive asshole who rapes her either. You have to find that balance.

Interesting piece... the rest of the site also has some interesting things...

http://www.bristollair.com/inner-game/nature-and-reality/the-truth-about-women.htmlthat article is total horseshit. this guy blames women for not knowing what they like, and then complaining that guys like him fuck them and dump them. then, he goes and complains that women have no integrity. maybe it has something to do with the women he happens to be able to convice to sleep with him.
Armistria
04-12-2006, 21:21
The last one I asked said "candy", which only supports my premise that all women want... different things.
Exactly. Women are different. Men are different. There's no standard type of sex that women want. It doesn't work that way. I know the girls that are into agressive stuff; I also know that a lot of them like to be the agressive ones... Then there are other girls that would run screaming, maybe even laugh at an agressive guy. If you're in a relationship with a girl like that, tone it down, and maybe slowly crank up the volume.

The woman who wrote that article is evidently a feminist hater. I know women who are all for equal rights but are as liberal as they like in their own relationships. Some women like to be completely dominated. Some don't. But women do not want to be raped; and if they say they do, then they probably never have been raped. Raping implies that it is forced; if a woman wants to be 'raped' then it no longer can be defined as rape, it's just sex.

But, yes, the average woman does not want a wuss. She wants to be respected; but doesn't want a man so feeble that he worships the ground she walks on. That's what the whole getting the soda thing is about. She wants him to care enough to do something for her, but she doesn't want a butler to wait upon her hand and foot. A little annoyance shows that the guy has his own opinions. If he does get her what she wants, though, she'll probably reward him.

2. For the men - how aggro are you? Be honest. Does it work for you and (if you're hetero) your woman?
3. Does it work the other way around?

i read the article

its kinda useless isnt it?

"you can get laid if when you get laid you do it rough. because all women like rough sex."

thats just stupid. different women like different things at different times.

no i dont want a man who will treat me like my desires are irrelevant to him in bed. i dont want a man who will leave me bruised every time we have sex.

Interesting piece... the rest of the site also has some interesting things...

http://www.bristollair.com/inner-game/nature-and-reality/the-truth-about-women.html
This guy is a total jerk! I don't know what kind of neighbourhood he hangs around with but most women aren't like that! Granted, there's a healthy portion of women like the ones he seems to 'get lucky' with (say 1/4 of women of that age bracket?) but he can't make such blaring generalisations. Also, if he thinks he's a 'sex god' now, well he'll be seriously disappointed in maybe 10 years time and might have to resort to the horrible older ones that he mentions.

Here's a few quotes that I found amusing.
But once my skills got good, I could fuck just about anyone's wife or girlfriend.[quote]Would you like to know this guy? Do you think he'd leave your girlfriend/wife alone, even if they weren't interested?
[quote]Look, would you leave your dog alone with a steak? You can't hate the dog for doing what's in its nature. You can't trust a dog, BUT you can trust a dog to BE a dog. Some men are disloyal... but I could *never* trust a woman to be loyal. Some men are bad presidents...but I could *never* vote for a woman to be president. This one is interesting. I'm almost certain that the dog and steak argument came up in a religious somewhere on NS general not too long ago. Could this be the same guy? Or perhaps a fan picked that argument up. Well either the same guy or a devoted fan who called themselves 'Hawt' posted almost the exact same words (except the president bit) on another forum. That guy listed 'Van Wilder' and 'Harold and Kumar' among his favourite films, so maybe.
Women want the top man...so the top man fucks lots of women. Would you want to sleep with this guy knowing that he's been with, as he says, 200 women? I'd be afraid of what I'd catch from him.

She will suck your toes and take it in the ass if she thinks you don't view her poorly for it (and she knows her friends won't find out.)

To get a woman attracted / emotionally vulnerable, give her lots of emotions and feelings.

That's right...women lose interest if you take them seriously!!!
Whatever you say, man. You obviously know women better than they know themselves...

Having backbone/balls, etc. is not the same as being aggressive.

You're right. One is standing up for yourself and/or others (which is defence), while the other puts you on the offence.

Aggression - none
Backbone - a strong one
Balls - two, please. In the right place.

Besides the universal appeal of confidence, you can't really define "what women want" since they're all different and want different things.

dunno, I consider myself a wimp when it comes to women.

In light of your other thread maybe you should get some exercise. I'm not talking about building muscles, I'm talking about the happiness and confidence that physical activity gives.

How old are you?

Ok.

1. Girl A wants Guy A to get a soda
2. However Girl A doesn't want guy A to be her doormat.
3. So Guy A puts up a fight because hey theres's a good game on.
4. Girl A gets a little excitement in her life because she has to put a little bit more effort into getting her guy to do what she wants him to do.
5. Guy A gets lucky that night.

They actually can have less periods. All they have to do is bear children and nurse longer. As long as a woman is nursing, she more or less is incapable of getting pregnant and having periods.

Except, of course, that you are wrong. It is a fact that many tribal African women only have a third of the number of periods as European women. Why? Because they are pregnant more often, and they nurse more often.

That said, I think you are referring to women not getting pregnant while lactating. There is proof. One moment.

http://www.kellymom.com/bf/normal/fertility.html

The Exclusive Breastfeeding method of birth control is also called the Lactational Amenorrhea Method of birth control, or LAM. Lactational amenorrhea refers to the natural postpartum infertility that occurs when a woman is not menstruating due to breastfeeding. Many mothers receive conflicting information on the subject of breastfeeding and fertility.

Exclusive breastfeeding has in fact been shown to be an excellent form of birth control, but there are certain criteria that must be met for breastfeeding to be used effectively.

Exclusive breastfeeding (by itself) is 98-99.5% effective in preventing pregnancy as long as all of the following conditions are met:

Your baby is less than six months old
Your menstrual periods have not yet returned
Baby is breastfeeding on cue (both day & night), and gets nothing but breastmilk or only token amounts of other foods.

I'd like a guy with some balls, you know. I don't want a guy who's overly aggressive or a guy who is just a complete wuss. I like guys who know how to treat women right and yet aren't afraid to kick my butt when playing tackle football in my/his back yard.

And I'd appreciate it if he asked me out entirely on his own and didn't break up with me on the internet (or "nonverbally")

I know about 20 women who tandem nurse, you can get pregnant when you are nursing, it's not rare, and it's certainly not impossible.

When I was nursing my own child, I was urged by doctors (both my OBGYN and the Pediatrician) to get on birthcontrol so that I did not get pregnant again and told by both of them, plus numerous baby books and websites that nursing a baby /=/ birth control.

if you don't get pregnant the first 6 months after having a baby it's because you aren't dropping eggs and that has nothing to do with breastfeeding, I have friends who did not nurse and didn't have a period until 7 months postpartum.

I am just saying, you should always assume that a woman can get pregnant and take care of your own stuff if you don't want a kid running around.

They could use birth control, which, in their commercials, promise to not let periods happen. Or something.Yes, but bodies aren't stupid. It's not advised to use birth control without taking breaks. I mean, your body will eventually cop on that you haven't been pregnant for 2 years; and that's when things start to get messy...

I havent heard any studies saying that long-term use of birth control affects your fertility afterwards. The only thing I heard is that high estrogen might increase risk of cancer.

The birth control that Ruffy referred to.

you just take active for 3 months and then on the third month you stop for a week, then you go back on the active.

I'd say that confidence but not arrogance is the surest way to figure out what a woman wants.

Walk up and just talk to her.

Not that I should be giving relationship advice since I just got out of a two-year relationship with an evil, life-sucking succubus.

Like, for serious, I've visibly aged quite a bit from 19-21 and she owes so many people money. It boosted my confidence in the end because now I'm not afraid I'm going to have to explain to people why she isn't going to pay the bills she owes them anymore. I can just relax.

God my eye is twitching again!
