Tons of my countrymen and women died early december. Even though I thought the Phillipines was somewhat of a exorbitantly greedy and messed up country I still mourn their loss, being half Filipino and all.

4 of those damn storms in the past 4 months in that area. I hope the survivors can recover from all this.

That's so sad. You have my condolences.
More than a thousand died.

I've been donating some of my money to be given to those surviving Filipinos through regional NGOs (as a part of Southeast Asian community).

I have the greatest sympathy and condolences for all those affected by the recent events in the Phillipines. Lets hope that aid reaches them as quickly as possible.

i dont want to interrupt this thread but i feel certain that you dont understand the implications of the phrase "hats off".

while we (men) do take off our hats in situations of respect for the dead, the term "hats off" means "congratulations"

Yes we do... It all depends on the manner that you take your hat off
