MTAE: A Discussion

This is not a flame, so please don't take it as such.

Often, Means is offended when people accuse him of being a troll. So, I decided to think about it and offer him these insights:

1. Your threads are always an extreme of some sort. You never seem to take a moderate stance on any issue. Let's look at some examples:

a. Abortion helps terrorism. This is a fairly erroneous claim, and you advocated increased breeding to out pace the spread of Islam. You seem to fail to see that terrorists aren't just Islamic. There have been devastating attacks by American terrorists on American soil before.

b. Give guns to every American. This will not reduce violent crime, there's no evidence to support this claim, and it's incredibly radical. How could arming every single person in the nation do anything but provoke dozens of violent shootings that wouldn't have happened in the first place? As you've often said, laws don't prevent crimes. Do you really think putting guns in the hands of everyone will prevent the crimes? Criminals do criminal things because they live outside the law. They're already disposed to take risks, and when they're desperate, a bullet might seem like a blessing.

c. Poisoning illegal drugs. This is advocating murder of people who have done things no more dangerous than smoked a joint in the privacy of their own home. Would you advocate slaying everyone who drank alcohol on any kind of basis? This is another extreme.

d. Advocating the singling out of Islamic people in our country. As people have mentioned, this creates a sense of superiority in other Americans, inferiority in those labeled, paranoia, distrust, and dissent. Doing anything like this would cause rioting to no end in America, hopefully. This would also begin to parallel the Nazi regime, not something anyone wants. It starts small, and goes by steps, a famous poem, at the Holocaust Memorial in New England:

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

e. The deemphasis of Art and History in our schools. Art, people might be able to agree with. Largely, art is not a science but is indeed a skill someone can pick up. It's the same reason why a degree in college often requires a few classes in the fine arts. Art is an expression of humanity, and it's important for us to keep that part of us alive, that part of the tradition of humanity.
What makes this a radical idea, however, is the deemphasis of History in the classroom. History class is to help us learn from our mistakes, to help prevent things like the Holocaust from happening again. If we don't remember and heed the past, we lose the experience and let it happen again.

f. Putting cameras on every single public structure everywhere. Even the scope of this is ludicrous, but the idea that crime would be prevented by cameras is not at all logical. People commit crimes because they're desperate or for whatever reason they do. The fact that they commit crimes shows a willingness to go to jail for what they're doing. The fact that they might be caught on a tape has never deterred them from robbing convenience stores points to that. Also, they could wear a mask and completely trump the system. This is a radical idea because every movement you make in public would be monitored. I know you've read 1984, and you may agree with the ideas behind it that Orwell was warning us against. This makes you a radical.

g. Importing foreign labor. This is the same thing as supporting slavery, which you already did anyway. You'd be taking away the jobs of Americans in droves because then the companies have no hiring laws whatsoever. However, this is hugely impractical because the cost of importing cheap labor would be prohibitive unless the company is paying the worker so little that he starves to death. That's not the world's best labor, and since you seem to be a supporter of America, even you must realize importing people to die on our soil is BAD for us, not good.

h. You advocated the enslavement of people who are dumb, for lack of a better term. Your total lack of respect for humanity of any sort makes you so incredibly radical that even radicals will start edging away from your positions. Your heavy-handed attempts to appear as a social Darwinist to the extreme makes you seem like a troll. It seems like you think that only the very smartest and most beautiful of people have rights, and not very many at that.

i. You advocated the stealing of organs and corpses from the families of loved ones. How can you be offended at being called a troll when you think that we should feed our dead to cows? How is that in any way superior to using hay, you know, the food cows have been eating since time began? Where's the research to support this idea? Not to mention they don't even EAT meat. You may have a case for compulsory organ donation, but grinding the bodies up into cow-food is radical.

There are so many more posts, and my tired mind forgets some I'm sure. This is not a flame, please don't take it as such. This is me, trying to be logical, to illustrate why people call you a troll so often.

You have no moderate views whatsoever.

You often propose ludicrous or extreme solutions when better, more realistic means are available.

You often ignore logical arguments against your position and tend to respond in a way that offends or infuriates people, often seemingly without any logic but your own.

I will admit I haven't read all of your posts or threads, but the ones that stand out are many of the ones I mentioned. You can't pretend that you don't understand why people think you're a troll anymore. Well, you can, but if you'd ever like to be taken seriously on a topic, maybe you should reevaluate your position.
