I've always liked the end of the final episode of Blackadder.
That's so sad! The first time I saw it I almost cried! In fact all the series have quite sinister endings. It's supposed to be a comedy, for crying out loud!

Yeah, it was pretty sad:( But it was funny when Cpt. Darling got the letter saying he had to go too:D
And the series 2 ending, when they drink the poisoned wine that Baldrick forgot to switch with the other wine:D

I think the series 2 ending was actually the series 3 ending. The series 2 ending was also quite shocking. The evil master of disguise Hugh Laurie dresses up as the Queen and kills the lot of them; Blackadder, Baldrick, The Queen, Nursie, Percy and Melchett. We see their bloodied corpses on the floor after we thought they'd saved the day.
Well nearly every film I've seen with a twist in the end I've guessed too soon, or my sister's ruined. The Usual Suspects, The Sixth Sense and Fight Club all spring to mind. My newest favourite ending is Pirates of the Caribbean; Dead Man's Chest. The film itself wasn't as good as the first, but Geoffrey Rush is my favourite actor, so I can't wait for the next one!

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing life's gristle,
Don't grumble,
Give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...
Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]
Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!

I agree. I've always liked that film. Maybe it's because Thora Birch's character is bisarrely like me, and Kevin Spacey's resembles my pervy father... Probably makes me feel like I'm not alone.

i hated the movie threads.
"The Graduate" I love it with Benjamin Braddock (Hoffman) driving around Cali looking for Elaine and trying to stop the wedding. The church scene is great and has risen to legendary status and has been parodied by Wayne's World and the Simpsons. The bus scene is great. I love how the movie ends with my 2nd favorite song, Simon and Garfunkel's "Sounds of Silence."

il buono, il brutto, il cattivo, IL RUFFINO ???
You're a genius, Ruffy.
actually, one that I just remembered is DEEP RISING.
the hero, sidekick and heroine manage to make it to an island and the typical "it's not over" type ending occures... except it's exaggerated to the Nth degree.
(staggering onto the beach.)
(the three hear a loud GROWL as suddenly, the trees in the distance start to shake as something huge is moving towards them... birds scatter everywhere)
Hero: Now what!
(Camera pans up to show a large jungle and in the distance, the trees are shaking as something huge moves towards them. Camera continues to pan up to show a barren, volcanic wasteland just after the jungle, complete with active volcanoes, lava flows and other related desasters.)

For starters, all three Mad max films.
The first one because it really doesn't end. It just tapers out and lets you chew on it.
The second one because it's a very loud "Yeah, he's still out there. And he's still powerful mad."
The third because it's so damned heroic.
And also, big points to the ending of Dirty Work.
"And the doctor paid off his debts. But the bookie had him killed anyway."
"...so he's dead. well, that's it."
Being There.
The Truman Show.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
This Is Spinal Tap
Dazed and Confused

Any movie that ends with every major character either dead, in prison, or similarly is a good one.
Particular credits go to The Departed, Dr. Strangelove and Save the Green Planet for being particularly twisted in their execution.

I'd say it's a tie between MASH and the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
WARNING: Spoilers for Casino Royale.
MASH: The loudspeaker says "Attention all personnel: Tonight's movie is MASH..." and it continues as Hawkeye and Duke board a jeep to Kimpo airport.
Casino Royale: Mr. White gets a call on his cell phone. "Mr. White, we need to talk." Then, he is gunned down and gasps "Who... is this?" and dies. Then Bond stands over him with his cellphone and a Heckler & Koch G36 submachine gun. "The name's Bond. James Bond"
