...ding-dong the bells are...OK, it's actually more like the afternoon. But I will bebe getting married tomorrow afternoon, and today's just preparation for that. After that, it's off to Hawaii for a cruise, thanks to my soon-to-be mother-in-law who got that for us as a Christmas present. So I will be gone from here.

So this thread isn't spam, where did all you married people go for honeymoons, or did you opt not to do one? For those of you who are getting married in the near future, where are you going on a honeymoon? For those who aren't near marriage, if you do get married, where do you want to go for your honeymoon?

See you guys on the 13th or soon after.

Congratulations!

While not "officially" married, of course, when we decided that we were it for good, we went on down to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. After that we went to some island or another about every year until we moved west. I do miss the Caribbean, sometimes.

Congratulations! :)

I'm not married or engaged, and I have no idea where I would want to go for a honeymoon. This is in stark contrast to one of my best friends, who has had her wedding and honeymoon planned out since she was seven. I always thought that was odd.

A nice little cottage high, high, HIGH up in the Colorado mountains. Just you, your new partner, the fireplace...and the king sized bed. Rawr. ;)

On a side note, I must express a minor amount of jealousy at all of the love going around lately.

Congrats!!!

I've been married once :headbang: and we went to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. There's talk of a second marriage (Autumn 2007) and we are talking about renting a chalet (http://sugarmaplecabins.com/) in Pigeon Forge for our honeymoon! Have fun:D and be safe:cool:!!!

Congratulations! Good luck to you both!

My sister and her husband went to Hawaii for their honeymoon, where my sister promptly lost her ring while swimming in a river. They found it downstream a while later.

I'm getting married sometime between the next 2-4 years (weird timetable, I know...) and we've narrowed it down to Dubai or Paris.

We took off work for the weekend as a honeymoon, it was a big deal since we were both working 80-120 hours a week at the time, we spent Friday-Monday together and ended up sleeping most of the time, but I slept better than I ever had in my entire life....so it was very nice.

We didn't have any money to do anything else anyway, we spent $50 on the wedding and $10 on breakfast the next morning and were broke, we ate Ramen the whole weekend LOL

*so glad she never has to eat ramen again*

oh and Congrats!

buy her something like a necklace and ear rings and only give her the necklace tomorrow on your 1st anniversary give her the ear rings.......hubby did that (but with a necklace and a bracelet) and it was very cool.

We're planning on going to Europe, but we haven't picked a set destination yet. Any suggestions?

My condolences. Your life as you know it is over.

Now you're enslaved. No more freedom. No more good times. Heck, after the vows sex end (unless you're going to have an affair).

By saying "I do" now she's going to be entitled to half of everything you own when the split happens.

Seriously, congrats to your enslavement.

Depends on what you want to do, I suppose (besides each other, of course ;) ). Museums? Plays? Laze about on a beach?

I'm partial to Paris myself.

Congratulations.

As for me, depending on the manner in which New Jersey legalizes it, that seems the most likely place to go, and since we'd likely drive there, having the honeymoon there would make sense.
