Things you would like to learn.

Ok, so outside of school and colege, there must be some things you would like to learn. I would like to learn the following.
1. How to play Chess
2. Italian (the language)
3. German (language)
How about yours?
Also if anyone knows any program or gaming website that lets me play Chess, let me know. I am considering buying a chess set though.
I'd like to learn more German, since I'm only going for a minor now but a major would be great. I'd also like to take some philosophy, and maybe quantum theory if I could understand it.
Greek, the language.
Philosophy(I know some rudimentary things)
More about logic.

Pick up one of those electronic chess boards if you have no-one to play with. It's more realistic than playing on a pc.

Why/How magnetism works.
Actually, scratch that.
Just about everything to do with quantam physics/quantam mechanics/etc.
No, scratch that again.
Everything to do with quantam physics/quantam mechanics/etc.
I talk with my science teacher about those everyday. It's so god damned confusing, but so god damned interesting! Besides that I'd like to learn Finnish, some other Scandinavian languages, Russian and Japanese. I'd also like to figure out the inner workings of the brain. This is probably way off, but if IRC, scientists only know... 15% about the brain? I just want to know what makes us tick. Once again, so god damned confusing, but so god damned interesting!
Those are why I really hate having a limited life-span. There's no way I can learn that much in the maybe 60, 70 years in my life (that is if I die a natural death). Plus it would take so much longer for humanity to actually figure out more about quantam stuff and the brain. I'd do anything for immortality, just so that I can satisify my curiosity while I still live. I'll feel really unfufilled if I die not knowing all that...
Damn you body! You with your decaying cells! You with your vulnerability! DAMN YOU!

I'd like to learn how to speak and read French, Lingala, and Spanish.
Wouldn't mind to learn the aforementioned "stuff I won't say here..." plus how to dance well.
Wouldn't mind learning to speak Arabic either, that or bartending (think that would be fun.) And Wilgrove: if you want, get a chess board and I'll play letter-chess with you via email. (Ever heard of that? People send back and forth "pawn to spot X." and so forth.)

Ok, would any board do, or what kind of board would you recommend?
I dunno.... a chess board? I'm not too too hardcore about it. Didn't know there's a bunch of different types of board.

Every year since I graduated from college I've tried to learn one new skill per year. I actually came up with this since I was doing it in college by chance! Over four years, I picked up fencing, driving heavy vehicles (air brakes, buses etc), climbing/rappelling and diving.
This year I got my motorcycle license.
Previous years have included: ballroom dancing (waltz, samba, fox trot, tango et al), pistol permit (concealed carry of revolvers and pistols), ice skating, and (basic) masonry.

:p
I don't know if it was because i was bowling into the wind but i could bowl a standard in-swinger to a right hander, Shiny side on the left seam angled down to 3rd man, but i also tried pointing it towards the slips with the shiny side on the left, the ball was swinging later but also seemed to drop, it was really weird if i really pitched that up it would be something wicked.
What, that it won't happen? I couldn't comment on that, it may very well start tomorrow for all I know. :p
Please tell me the first and help me with the second*Angel smilie*

I'd like to get into Aikido - there's a load of stuff that I'd like to learn but they're all motivated by my career.
The ability to actually speak other languages fluently rather than just knowing a few words here and there. Since this is impossible due to the specific makeup of my brain chemistry, I am thusly stymied. :(

Other than becomming fluid in 4 languages, getting a bacheloor's degree in Physics & Astrophysics, I'd like to learn why we human beings are so irrational about things that have no immediate impact on our personal lives.
I'd also like to get in on that lotto number thing..
