Big Bird is Agnostic, Cookie Monster is a Wiccan and Bert and Ernie are both Taoist.

Hmmm. I don't remember anything about them having religions. But it was a long time ago, and I wasn't an avid viewer of the show.

That would be the Knootians, not the muppets.

Urban legend.

Yeah, it got started when the dude who voiced Ernie died and there were all these rumors about how Ernie was going to die. Car crash and AIDS were just a few of the many possibilities.

I imagine so; it would be damn hard for the Muppets not to when God has his hand shoved up their asses during every show.

If I remember correctly, Elmo is an advocate of Christian Identity.

No...

So why do they celebrate Christmas, and why was there a Muppet Jesus Christ?

And who is going to argue that Rizzo the Rat ain't Jewish by way of Dustin Hoffman?

Well, if the Christian God is omnipresent, aren't we all in the same position if He exists?

For a moment I thought the title said "Master of Puppets". Then I thought it said "Paster of Muppets", with BWO doing a spin on the words. Then I realized it said "Pastor of Muppets", and then I proceded to hit myself for being a dumbass.

What a great thread title. :D

As to the question, I've never noticed any religion when watching Sesame Street.

So is it all just the thin end of the Marxist wedge?

They've got a Set worshipping cult, rife with ritualistic animal and virgin(and virgin animal on special occassions) sacrifice.

They're all adherents of Muppetism. It's like Humanism, but a little more exclusive.

there was a holiday special when I was a kid, I remember that Maria had a Christmas tree and went to midnight mass, and that one of the puppets was Jewish.

I don't remember any protestants though, or non-religious, or Muslims, or anything else.

I don't even remember the name of the show.........

I think they talked about Kwanzaa now that I am remembering.

Well honestly how many minorities can you jam onto a kid's show? Or any show.

Mr. Rogers was entirely too pedophile for my taste. I always expected him to offer some little boy candy for a quick feel.

All those toys and the creepy pedo-grin he had workin.

Americans have an accent? Hm, never noticed. I mean there are regional ones, but a lot of people, particularly actors sound generic.

Let me guess: you, yourself, are an American who hasn't spent much time out of the country. Am I right?
