Sexual orientation doesn't make you any less human. Homosexuals should have access to the same 'rights' as everyone else... as should all humans.

Such fundamentals need to be protected, even where one might not like the actions of the individual.

So - for example, a person might be a vitriolic troll that consistently flamebaits and spams a forum with pointless threads.. but I would still protect their right to express themselves.

Homosexuality is a characteristic like red hair or dark skin and as such, can't really be called immoral because it's not an action. To my knowledge, there is no campaign to recruit children to homosexuality anymore than there is to "recruit" them to African ancestry or red hair.

Drunks have the right to be drunk as long as they don't drive, operate machinery, or hurt anyone; even if they do, they have the right to their day in court. Thieves have the right to their day in court. And sexual deviants...if you have time to get this worked up about what people do in the privacy of their own home with other consenting adults, you need a hobby. Lots of people are sexual deviants. Last time I checked, a chunk of them weren't hurting anybody. They're not a race or a religion either. Yes, I know that you seem to have sipped the Kool-Aid that makes you believe that only marital, missionary-position, opposite-sex, same-race intercourse that results in pregnancy and is done for no other reason than procreation and is not enjoyed in any way by either party is the only acceptable intercourse and anything else should warrant a horrible death, but frankly the rest of us will stay away from that foul-smelling Kool-Aid and stick with Jack and Coke. I agree with you to a point. I don't think they should have their pride parades or movies like brokeback mountian. I think it pushes wrong things on society. So they shouldn't get special rights, but they should have at least most of the rights as others so long as they don't push their lifestyle.

And to be fair I don't agree with straight people pushing deviancy on society either such as nude beaches or free love nonsense.
