Ok. Here's my beef.

I occasionally wear a brown toque (http://www.takeoutundies.ca/images/products/takeOutToque_md.jpg) and/or hoodie (http://www.merch-bot.com/images/products/lifestyle/medium/hammer-sickle-pullover-hoodie.jpg) on campus every now and then. Whenever I'm walking and passing by people, they are always questioning to their peers if I'm a homeless guy. And then when they see that I have coins to use for the vending machine, they're like "Oh, I seriously thought that was a homeless guy."

W-T-F, mate. I wear a brown toque, now I'm automatically a bum? I walk with a hood over my head, that makes me a bum? This never happens to me when I'm wearing just my baseball cap, but usually always when I'm wearing my toque/hoodie. This is ridiculous.

I'm not poor, I'm too healthy to be poor. Hell, I'm going to university for pete's sake. I like my style, and I'm not going to change it but seriously, this is annoying the hell outta me. How did such a cool winter hat and cool sweater become icons of the homeless?

I'm sorry people judge you based on your choice of clothing. It's not as though you're revealing anying or wearing anything offensive (the only time judging clothing is permissible), but it doesn't warrant ideas about income. So, I'm sorry it happens.

I dunno... maybe its the snobs at my school. This never occured last year when I attended a different university in downtown Toronto.
