German is like English; efficient but ugly. French sounds much nicer (unless spoken by Quebecois, in which case it becomes nasal).

English. I can understand it without having to think too hard. French would be impossible to transcribe from hearing it; there's too many damn silent letters.

Russian's kind of cool, though. I'd like to speak Russian.

Russian is the most badass...

German is the most Authoritive. Not trying a steryotype here but man, if you want to indimiate someone....

French is the most seducing...with spainish and Italian right behind that.

Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese are hands down the funnest.

I detest French with all the will-power I have, which means I have a moderate dislike for it, and seeing how German is my mother tongue, I cannot really judge it in terms of beauty; I just find it plain old ordinary.

I'll refuse to name any specific language as the most pleasing to my ears,*as I have only a very limited set of languages I can actually judge against each other, and that vast ocean of languages I have never heard of, let alone heard.
As always, Swedish gets an honorable and exceptional mention. But only a size 1 one.

Uh?
The mere fact that England uses Latin alphabet and follows Christianism as state religion is enough to say that Roman influence is still very strong throughout England.
Also the German influence is very strong... think of the Windsors. And the Orange-Nassau.

There's usually exceptions to everything. Parisian French is elegant but Quebecois French is coarse and ugly. I've heard some dreadful metallic German but my highschool German teacher was from the Rhineland and his was soft, musical and very pleasant. The Cantonese I hear from Chinese streetvendors is a hideous honking but cultivated Mandarin is quite elegant. There's a world of difference between the Italian of Naples and Florence. Romanian and Portugese are fun to listen to. Not unpleasant, but unusual. Maltese is ... odd, like Arabic with a strong Italian accent. Now Arabic - there's a language that always sounds bad but maybe I haven't heard the right dialect of it.
