It's a bit late but here was the 2006 inductees for the UK Music Hall Of Fame:

James Brown
Led Zeppelin
Rod Stewart
Brian Wilson
Bon Jovi
Prince
Dusty Springfield
Sir George Martin received an honorary membership.

What I don't understand is how David Bowie, Elton John, Bruce Spingsteen, Chuck Berry, The Clash, Miles Davis, The Velvet Underground, Johnny Cash, The Doors etc... have been ignored for a place in the Hall of Fame but Bon Jovi, Dusty Springfield and Rod Stewart have been deemed worthy enough to make the list before them (and in Bon Jovi's case they are lucky to make it at all)

What do you all thin of the inductees? Are they accurate or are there better people who need inducting instead of some of the people already in the Hall of Fame?

Probably because the Hall of Fame represents acts that have influenced British music, regardless of what nationality they may be.

I dunno, maybe because if they did all the good guys first, the last few ones will be stuck with all the less influential artists and it will be boring.

Edit: And I think Dusty Springfield is actually very good singer, up there with the best of 'em.

Possibly but come on...Bon Jovi shouldn't even make a list of possible inductees and chosing Dusty Springfield over the likes of David Bowie and Ray Charles? No matter how good her voice is she is not at the level of influence of other major artists.
