IE7 can't be "undone". It's a mandatory upgrade from Microsoft.
And if you're going to download FF, why not go to their actual site (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/)?
Unwanted installation? Windows.
I second this motion.

Installing FF? Simple: apt-get install firefox
However you have no browser you trust, right? if you have a download-manager, get http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-2.0&os=win&lang=en-GB
If you have a non-webmail-email, I can send it to you. Or ask someone with 'net about it.

On thing I can recommend is renaming IEXPLORE.exe
Then you won't get nearly as much trouble with IE. And yeah, Firefox is quite good, but the link's already been posted a couple of times.

Why download firefox on a non-mozilla site?

Freespire is an out of date POS with a userbase that gets off recommending Linspire.

Nope. It can only change the settings of a couple files.
