In the time I have been here I have yet to work out why only the Mods have avatars. Could someone inlighten me please.
Is it just a way to easily distingwish them or is it just that people dearn't use them?

jolt servers have enough trouble staying online without allowing a picture in everyone single post i guess.

The old server was much worse. We put up with the odd database error and the like here, but on the old one, you were lucky if you could get a post through without it either hanging there and doing nothing for about 10 minutes, or sending that post through about 12 times.

It's only disabled when quoting someone using the forum interface. I don't think they're banned, but who would go to the trouble of manually pyramid-quoting people all of the time?

Try to put in a picture in the user CP. It won't work. Didn't work for me before I attained my mod-hood either.

I suggest you check out the jolt boards in general and see how many of us are viewing the NS forums vs. others viewing the other forums at any time, and I think you'll see why it's likely we don't get them. I've rarely seen fewer than 300 NSers on the forums vs 10-20 in the others at the same time.

In other words, we're a much larger group and their servers are already stressed out. ;)

Can't remember, but I would guess it must be well over 2 years now. I was in for Alpha as well, so it's been a loonnngggg time.
