This one's Cruiser, my old, bipolar tuxedo cat who will let you scratch her chin one second and bite your hand off the next. Sadly, her first family wasn't very nice to her, so she's still kind of mean. She's definitely in charge.

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/DEVILRAYS/5cfa908f.jpg

This next one is Lily, the hyperactive Yorkie. She's a timberwolf trapped in a small dog's body, has limitless energy, and could spend hours licking your face.

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/DEVILRAYS/6458104d.jpg

That's Sonic, our parakeet. He's survived having his leg broken in two places and seems to be a very talented singer. We also have a cockatiel named Moe who is not pictured; we just got him at the end of October.

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/DEVILRAYS/46cd3705.jpg

This last one is Rocco. He's our Siamese cat, and he's completely and totally evil. He's the one who broke Sonic's leg, and he gets into all kinds of mischief. But in the end, he's a friendly cat who is just happy having his chin scratched. Also, we're pretty sure he weighs over 20 pounds. And he's a massive stoner cat.

My MIL's cat is pretty smart. Too smart, if you ask me. Two weeks ago, we had to give him medicine for his bronchitis, and he absolutely hated it. We had to pin him down and shove it in his mouth. If he even suspected we might be thinking about giving it to him, he dashed under the bed where we couldn't get him. We had to catch him completely by surprise.

My cat is on regular medication. She is difficult and refuses to take it. At least when it comes to the 'shove it down the throat' method. We crush up her tiny pill and put it on her favourite wet food... actually, on top of, she if she wants the food, she has to get the med.

We never tried crushing the medication and putting it in his food...the problem is that he doesn't like wet food very much, and if we put it into his dry food, he'll most certainly eat around it. Shoving it down his throat is all we have. Although Cruiser the Evil Tuxedo Cat may go for the pills-in-the-wet-food thing; she loves her Sheba.

My best friend has the following pets: 3 cats (Wally - hyper!, Yakku, Lucky), 1 dog (Toby - extremely fucked up), 3 rabbits, 1 gerbil, 1 squirrel...

Yes, that is right now.

She also had a gecko at one point...

The squirrel is not afraid of humans. She found it when it was a baby. The squirrel climbed on me... that was very weird.

In college, one of my hallmates had a ferret. Actually, she got rid of her guinea pig and then got a ferret. The ferret was a cool animal, but she didn't need an effing ferret in a dorm room. I, however, don't have any animals more exotic than a bird.

Our rule was "You can't have anything that doesn't live in a tank." My friend had a little kitten in her dorm, and when the R.A. came to inspect her dorm, they found her kitten in a tank with food and water and a blanket.

The University amended the rule to "You can't have anything that can't breathe underwater." after that. :D

Exodia was in my son's room and I went in to look for something when I saw the cat in there with him. Most of my pets have gotten along amazingly well, except for the cats and hamsters. After my son's last hamster met a rather horrible fate at the paws of our cats, I had decided to get something bigger -hence Exodia.

Of course I freaked out immediately when I saw Yakineko in there. Then I saw that they were getting along just fine and ran for the camera.

I'm really glad to hear that Bubba made it through. Its good to have some nice stories every now and then.

I guess I wasn't really angry at the person that hit him. Couscous was really fast, so there was no way they would have been able to do anything to avoid hitting him. Just made me feel that little bit worse about humanity as a whole that they didn't even bother to stop to see if he was alright. They had the window open and it made a huge thud.. not to mention the yowling and the jolt the car must have got.. so can't imagine they didn't know they had hit something.

Ah well too late now..

oh! that's horrible, that makes me so upset :(. i don't understand how people do that. i hit a cat once (there was nothing i could do to avoid it, ran under the wheels) and i was absolutely mortified. the worst was i couldn't find it afterwards, i was looking for about an hour behind every wall and under every hedge, so i didn't know if it was okay and i couldn't find it's owner or anything. my dad kept telling me if it was able to just disappear then it must be ok but :( . i'd have been there all night looking if he hadn't made me get back in the car.

Funny you should ask.....Nope not at all. She listens very well and doesn't run off.

I picked her name out because she was left in an abandoned house with no food and water about a week or 2 after 9/11. The front window was unlocked so I opened it and pulled her out along with a calico kitten (any longer I'm sure she probably would have ate the poor kitten) She was nothing but skin and bones. Very paranoid and would keep her head way down when anybody would try to pet her. Now 5 1/2 yrs later as healthy and spoiled as spoiled can be. I named her Freedom and my sister named the kitten Liberty.

I just got me another dog that himself was rescued by this lady. She found him on the side of the Highway, eating garbage or whatnot, skinny dog. She named him Freeway. She kept him for about 8 months, fattened him up to norm, got him his shots and fixed him. He's somewhere's inbetween a yr and yr and a half. Mostly Lab with just a little pit. He is kept on a leash or cable. He has to earn his trust. He's mostly black with a white striped marking going up his snout, white paws, chest, and has a white tip on the end of his tail. Good looking dog. Very smart but crazy as hell.

In fact, while I was over at my parents house today for Thanksgiving, we put the dogs in the back yard while we ate. Freeway took a dive into the pool. I know we live in Florida and all but that water is Cold, brrrrr. Crazy dog. I don't have a pic of him yet.
