Best Job in the World

I have the great pleasure of working, at least on weekends and for the holidays, at a cigar and pipe store here.

I have spent a lot of time there, as I'm a big fan of both pipes and cigars, and was offered a job.

I've worked at a book store and been a tutor, but this is by far the most enjoyable, I'm paid to sit around and smoke cigars, smoke pipes, and help people buy both.

The store is quite profitable for the owner, so there is never any pressure to up-sell, and he keeps a pretty hands-off approach with his four employees. We are basically urged to make friends of customers, which is a lot of fun, as we are given pretty wide discretion to throw in freebies.

We have a limited selection of cigarettes, so I imagine this might qualify me as a "merchant of death," but my oh my, do I enjoy it.

Anyone else have a truly blissfully enjoyable job?

There was some makeup guy who got paid to keep Jennifer Lopez's nipples erect during video shoots. I imagine that job was pretty damn blissful, say what you will about J-Lo.

Since it was a makeup guy he might not have gotten as much pleasure as you'd think. ;)

When I heard this previous, I thought about writing to her and telling her whatever she's paying him, I'd do it for 1/2.

Two options for best job come to mind...

1. TV Meteorologist (or Weatherman)

Get paid to be wrong all the time. :p

2. Opinion Editorial columnist

Get paid to tell people what you think...it's kinda like NS, except with a bigger audience...

...and you get paid. :p

No. :(

As far as what the best job would be, it would be making a living as a writer (non-journalist) and/or playing in a band.

I think one of the best jobs in the world would be a photographer for National Geographic.
