Me and my friend were having a conversation on SMAC (Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri) the other day and we realized that nobody really plays it online anymore...nor the old Ghost Recon games...which kinda sucks. Because we can only afford games 6 years after they come out.

So, I ask NSG! I know you guys game online, so which games, hopefully I can find some enough folks to get a good game going.

Hopefully Spore will knock me into that habit. :)

I really don't play many games anymore, since I've gotten so deep into music. However, I do play Aces High II.

Pings is how fast information is sent from your computer to the server and vice versa.

Not really. It's "massively single-player" -- the benefit of millions of people's creations to compete with, without the annoyance of having to deal with the... you know... people. Nothing worse than having your planet blown up in real time by a bunch of six-armed Chuck Norris lookalikes, after all.

See kids, this is what happens when you drink too much alcahol without enough sleep.

Gamers are most likely gaming, rather than posting on NSG. neh?

A game of SMAC would be awesome. I'd be up for it.

Good point.

I used to play Halo 2 online until I realised how gay the people on there were.
Now all I play is the occasional Madden 07 and maybe once a month Starcraft.

I have SMAC, but never play it. I used to love it, but now I'm Civ obsessed.

I'm up for Civ 4, starcraft, SMAC, etc, but ehh... I actually don't have much I really want to play online right now, which surprises the crap outta me.

Maybe battlefield 2, if I can get some time on my other comp(brother just got back into WoW... so good freaking luck)

I frequently play DotA and UT2k4 on LAN, but I rarely play online (probably because Bnet DotA players are often more nub than I and maphax... granted, the juniors at my school do as well, but still...)

Battlefield 2 is the only game I own that I can actually get the multiplayer to work on, so that.

I own BF1942, BFVietnam, BF2, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, and Rise of Nations, the only one I ever play online is NWN. Stupid dial-up. :(

Half-Life now and then, there's still a lot of people who play it online, the servers are fast to download stuff and it's all good:cool:

Diablo 2, Guild Wars. Both are pretty good, but D2 is far superior.
