Here's a little short story about brontophobia.... and yes, it's from one of my own experiences. However Annie is not me.

Never understood why people are scared of thunderstorms.

But, I guess brontophobes wouldn't understand why I love thunderstorms...

I have absolutely no idea why one could think the idea of a gigantic bolt of thousands of volts of electricity randomly lancing out of the sky and burning you to a cinder could possibly be frightening. :p
I presume it's slightly sad that the first thing I thought of when I saw the title was brontosauruses...

It does, especially when you're in a storm-prone area full of insensitive rednecks :upyours:

on topic (sorry pancake): i like your story, you have a good way of getting across emotions and atmosphere. i think it's the balance between what you write and what you leave to the imagination. i'd say you have it pretty much nailed.

don't worry i thought that too. i clicked mainly because i too have/had a fear of dinosaurs only to discover i really am alone :(

You're more likely to be killed by a bee swarm. And metal shows are louder, and I never found them scary. *shrug*

I guess I always found the power and prescence of a thunderstorm to be a thing of beauty...

My dad once told me about somebody getting hit by lightning and dying instantly. A few months ago lightning hit my neighbor's house.
