The most powerful trait of the human soul?

I recently had a discussion with a few friends of mine on which was the most powerful and influential and sometimes dangerous trait the human soul contained. Many of them said the typical reply - love. However, I picked spite. You can fall in love out of spite, can you not?

Though that's my logic, what's your take on this?

The worth. I mean, think of all you could do by selling your soul. I sold my soul recently, now I never have to work again and live in a big fancy mansion. Spite and love can't give you that can they?:p

Powerful, influential and sometimes dangerous trait you're looking for. Desire. Every war is because someone desired more land, more power, more whatever. All conflict is due to Desire. Basically when people want stuff, they can become dangerous.
If you can call "need" a trait, then that is even stronger than desire. Look at any people who don't have access to food, and what they'll do to get it. Any 3rd world country. Hurricane Katrina victims.
I can't remember who this quote is from, but it sums up the above paragraph. "Civilization is two square meals away from anarchy."

Humility. It is, in my opinion, the most favorable trait.

I call bullshit. Why would there be soul food if there is no soul?

There's no soul food either. It's all part of a conspiracy by corporate america to get us to buy more things.

So my "black" friends are just racists wearing blackface like Al Jolson?
