Do you have a favourite font?

I can't be the only one nerdy enough to have a favourite font, so let's all share what our favourite fonts are.

My personal favourite is Century Gothic, though I'll go with Tahoma in a pinch.

Garamond, Calisto MT, and Book Antiqua

Although I also like papyrus, which sadly NS does not have.

Of the fonts we are allowed to see on Jolt, I like Book Antiqua a whole lot. And Courier New, while slightly old-school and reminiscent of long hours sitting in front of a screen typing command prompts -- well, ok, maybe not hours -- is still good.

Among fonts that won't display on everyone's computers, I like Eurostile, Old English MT, Lucida Grande, and a lot of the symbol fonts. (Not all of these will display on your computers, unless you have them installed.)

I use Arial often, as well as Times New Roman, Impact, and for titles, Algerian (No option for that font here, though)

For a "regular" font, I like Jokerman. I'm disapointed that we don't have Wingdings on Jolt, 'cause I wanted to post the holy om in another thread :)

Yeah, but it makes it really easy to pick your assignment out of a pile of them when you're the only one who always types it up in a particular font.

Plus, have you seen the question marks in century gothic? They're fucking sexy

But if I want to put a fun "mood" to something, I'll use Comic Sans

And I like Felix Titling for some banners and labels. (Jolt doesn't have that one.)

Lucida Sans Unicode - I use this for mixed CD covers.

Hahaha, no, you're probably not.

You're killing me, though, because in German it's always the distinction between Jugendstil (which, unsurprisingly, turns out to be Art Nouveau in English ) and Art Déco that slays me. I never get it right (except accidentally) and I don't even actually see it.
Not that I actually ever bothered to study up on it or anything. But still. <.<

And here I thought I could get away with it on NS in a thread about fonts.

Curses, foiled again! :p

This is my favourite font. I used this font and colour for my first few posts on NSG, but then found that everyone else are boring LOSERS using the standard font, making me look weird, so, being a good Rousseauist, I conceded to the General Will:p

Anything clear and easy to read -- Times New Roman and Arial being chief among them.

Those ridiculous "handwritten fonts" or "Old English" fonts are about the worst -- especially since my students despite my telling them otherwise seem to think them appropriate for research papers.

Used to be that I would just give my students their papers back and tell them to redo it in a font I could read, but since I have them turn their papers into me via email and I grade them on my laptop, if they do something stupid like that, I just change it to Times New Roman. Then I bitch them out. ;)
