Mein Kampf VS On Liberty

Whose writing is worse? Hitler's Mein Kampf or Mills' On Liberty? Mills can go on for pages without actually saying anything while Hitler just hits himself with his own words.

Well Mill had some stuff I could agree with and Hitler not so much. That doesn't really answer your question though.

Actually, I've never read Mein Kampf and haven't read all of On Liberty but I'm assuming here.

I haven't read on liberty. Though I have read Mine Kampf and thought it was actually somewhat well written.

Haven't read any of them. I chose James Earl Jones on the poll though because he's cool in Conan & Star Wars.

It's full of lies and bullshit, but I'd have to agree that it's quite well crafted.

I was gonna read Mein Kampf, then I saw how unimaginably massive the book was. Couldn't Hitler have just written a pamphlet or something? maybe some Jack Chick style comics?

Which book is worse? (Grammatically speaking)
Mein Kampf
On Liberty
James Earl Jones

Two rather different propositions there....

As for the first, it depends on whos translation you read, assuming you don't read German, like the majority here.

As for the second, James Earl Jones is an actor, not a book. I haven't read much of Faulkner's work, and the grammar of the first two will depend, again, on the translator.

Quite well crafted? Are you sure we read the same Mein Kampf?

Its extremely poorly written and not even written by Hitler. He dictated it to Hess while in prison!

While not having read On Liberty, I am quite sure Mein Kampf is one of the worst books ever, in content but even more so, if that's possible, in style. Remember, this is not really a book, but rather Hitler's ramblings as written down by his mate Hess during their holidays in Landsberg, and as such, it's mostly inconsistent mumba wumba like literally pages of "Fox goes with fox, dog goes with dog, cat goes with cat, tiger goes with tiger...", going on four three or four pages and ending with a ' - ;' , propably indicating Hitler to have gone berserk on pronunciation once again and Hess not typing fast enough to keep up, picking up again when it seemed convenient.
To anyone fluent in German, I recommend searching for records of Serdar Somunce's lecture of it, as he's picking it apart quite nicely.

The only one I've read is On Liberty. I was too enthralled with the substance to really get critical of the style. My brother has a copy of Mein Kamf, but it's in German, which I don't read. Incidentally, it's a 1939 copy signed by some SS officer.
