Would anyone help me out with some Marzipan issues?

None of these recipes that I have found indicate serving size so I'll ask you, General, not about politics, not about societal problems, but instead, help!

See, I am trying to make enough marzipan to serve 20 people. But the amount need not be a lot - perhaps something to the amount of 20 strawberry forms. Would anybody be kind enough to work numbers to give me the appropriate ingredients and amounts thereof :D?

16 ounces almond paste
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
6 drops any color food coloring

makes enough for about 30 people........

Marzipan is disgusting though.

On the off chance anyone (like me) doesn't know what Marzipan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marzipan) is.

Perhaps you could alter this recipe a bit? http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/623/Christmas-Mini-Marzipan-Mounds74854.shtml

Hmm, thankee. And it's not my fault that Lübeck happens to be known for its Marzipan, which is why I had to find any of this out in the first place.

On the off chance, do you have any particular recipe for this? I would modify AFS' but it seems to require marzipan in itself, unless I somehow misinterpreted it. The others I have don't take corn syrup or anything as such so I'd like to know how to put this together. @_@

"Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of ground almonds and sugar that derives its characteristic flavor from bitter almonds, which constitute 4% to 6% of total almond content by weight. Some marzipan is also flavored with rosewater. Persipan is a similar product, for which the almonds are replaced by apricot or peach kernels."

Sorry, no. I don't eat anything that I can't tell if cyanide has been slipped into. :p

when I took pastry class we had to learn to make Marzipan forms for our cakes, they were pretty but I didn't dare try to eat them, weird texture indeed.

Yes, but this Marzipan (http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Marzipan) is much better. :D
