That or Feels by Animal Collective.
I have a pretty big wishlist, and because I generally have to travel into the inner city to get the CDs I want, I usually walk home with 10 or so at a time.
At the moment it is:
Bohren & Der Club of Gore - Black Earth
Boris - Amplifier Worship
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Dwarves - Blood Guts & Pussy
Earthride - Vampire Circus
El Ritual - El Ritual
Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Esoteric - Metamorphogenesis
Diamanda Galás - The Litanies of Satan
Impaled Northern Moonforest - Impaled Northern Moonforest
Iron Monkey - Iron Monkey
Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye
Leaf Hound - Growers of Mushroom
NoMeansNo - Wrong
Pelican - The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw
Propergol - Program Vengeance
Sunn O))) - The Grimm Robe Demos
Té - If That Is What Is Being Thought, Liberated Sound Talks the Depth of [Musical] World. (lol. not kidding. (http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/537247.jpg))

There's nothing I particularly want right now. Chances are I'll see something I like next time I'm in town then come home and order it online. Generally cheaper. Oooh, actually - the new Isis album, In The Absence Of Truth. I want that. I want some more Godspeed You! Black Emperor as well, but I imagine I'll try to get them on vinyl instead of cd.

last time i was in ye good olde record shoppe i saw "Someone Told Me Life Gets Easier In Your 50’s" by 1-speed-bike, and i wanted to buy it, but i ended up buying rock action from mogwai, wich was half the price and had some of my favorite songs by them on it.
i'm also looking for the milk-eyed mender from Joanna Newsom, wich also looks really good.
if i win the lottery i might just buy this whole catalogue (http://www.cstrecords.com/mailorder_001-005_eur.html) because i generaly like most of the music by this label and it could be cool to discover some new stuff.
i also lost a cd from ryoji ikeda  so i might want to replace that, maybe with another one
or i could just go into a record shop and look around, look at some cover art, and decide to buy or not buy a CD.

It depends where I go. As of today, I have The Complete Recordings by Robert Johnson and Tanx by T. Rex in my shopping cart on www.bmgmusic.com , but I doubt I'll be buying from there next since I just placed an order.
If I go to the cheapest local store for new music, and they have what I want, I will probably get:
Big Star - Third/Sister Lovers
Pink Fairies - What a Bunch of Sweeties
and a few others.
If I go to a used CD store, I'll get a bunch of ones from the $1, $2.50, and $5 racks, with a few more expensive ones thrown in there.
Boris - Amplifier Worship
Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Diamanda Galás - The Litanies of SatanThese ones are good.
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Dwarves - Blood Guts & Pussy
Esoteric - Metamorphogenesis
Iron Monkey - Iron Monkey

Rosenrot isn't a great album. It's pretty much the stuff that didn't get on Reise Reise, which I considered (apart from a few tracks: Moskau and Los) to be considerably weaker than Mutter or Sehnsucht.

It's just rational choice theory in action. The amount of money I save through downloading all of my music for free far far far outweights the remote risk that I'll get caught downloading the music (the vast majority of which is from independent labels). Shoplifting I do less because the risk of getting caught is greater.

It's rational as long as enough people are still buying into the system to sustain the production. If that group stops buying into the system, then it collapses and no one gets the product. You're a parasite on the system; you can make the case that there are parasites on any system and that you're just filling a natural niche, but that's what you are. And too many parasites eventually kill any organism.

that's assuming that musicians only make music for money rather than for personal enjoyment and the enjoyment of others. Presumably most do, but I'd prefer it if all of them didn't. If anything I'm helping bring about that ideal vision.

It takes money to produce recordings and promote them so that others may enjoy them. I don't know if you're a musician or not--I presume not--but it's not cheap to be a musician. Why begrudge them a living? It's rare enough that a person in everyday life manages to do something he or she loves for pay. Why should artists be any different? If I could make a living from my art instead of teaching, I'd do it, even though I like my job.

Everyone always talks about the musicians losing money or the record companies losing profits, but there is much more to it than that. What about the poor bastard putting his 40 hours a week in at a factory that makes CD covers or prints the liner notes? What about the record store owners and workers? Fuck 'em? I agree with the principle, but the storefront when it comes to music (and video rental, for that matter) is a dying business model. Some will shift to a boutique system, but as a mass market, we're in the period where cd stores will be a thing of the past.

The 'poor bastard' doing 40 hours a week in a factory is an unskilled labourer who would almost certainly be able to find another job if the factory closes.
The record store owner will either be a good enough businessman to get the hell out of the market before it goes tits up, and be successful in a different market, or will most likely fail in any market.
The workers in the record store will have a similar ease in getting a job as the 'poor bastard' in the factory.
Not that I'm advocating downloading music because it won't matter if the bottom falls out of the physical music market. That's just silly. I'm pissed off because 3 separate independent music stores in my city have closed down in the last year, because of the presence of three major music store chains. There's only one independent store left now. To me, the bottom nearly has fallen out of the market.
