this is what happens in iraq when there are no hummers to fix and your the only chick in the section...AND the only yankee in a Louisiana unit!

To sum it up, it's a video of a prank in which a woman is duct taped to a post.

It's made the Drudgereport (http://drudgereport.com/flash2ir.htm), which says military officials are nonplussed.

A top Pentagon source expressed concern over the video late Sunday.

"Excuse me, I am not laughing," said the official, who asked not to be identified.

Not the end of the world, but still a bit disturbing. She seemed like she was laughing in the begining, but later, she definately wasn't having too much fun. You'd have to ask her how the whole thing seemed from her perspective: I mean, if it was only a bit of fun and she didn't ultimately mind, it seems silly to kick up a fuss. If it was actually abusive and traumatic to her, that's a different story.

We just don't know what kind of relationship she has with the people in her group. Maybe these type of things happen all the time? Maybe sh'ed helped tape someone else up in the past? It didn't seem like the men were being malicious - though they were handling her a bit roughly.

even at the end, she seemed to be atleast a little amused, though, not as much as she had been earlier.

It honestly looked like a bunch of brothers picking on their sister, or even me and my friends harassing some of my closer female friends

lol, that was funny, and the girl didn't seem to mind. Ahh, the things our men and women in uniform do when they are bored.

This reminds me of one time when I was stationed in Germany. We were in Grafenwoehr and were getting ready to go home. We were staged in the motor pool but weren't scheduled to leave for five hours so we were rather bored. We ambushed the mechanic who was usually attached to my scout platoon and were planning on stripping him to his underwear and attaching him to the crane on a HEMMT. We had him down to boots and underwear when his platoon caught on and came to his rescue. We were all engaged in a bit wrestling match when our intended victim removed his underwear and chased us all from the motor pool. Ah, the borderline homoerotic hilarity that ensues in military units.

It also reminds me of the time when we duct taped a port-a-shitter closed when one of the cook sergeants was in there. Lucky for him he had a knife and was able to cut his way out.

I like it when they waste duct-tape like that...it makes me feel like my tax-dollars are being well spent.

What kind of torture are our boys learning over there? At least tie her to the post upside down. Bunch of wusses.

It means that da(sic) mistake is intentional. Usually to do with spelling. I think it means, "leave as is" or something similar.

The Wikipedia loves you.

Sic is a Latin word meaning "thus", "so", or "just as that". In writing, it is italicized and placed within square brackets — [sic] — to indicate that an incorrect or unusual spelling, phrase, or other preceding quoted material is a verbatim reproduction of the quoted original and is not a transcription error.

When my daughter was in the Navy, they duct taped her to a pipe in her shop. It was her birthday, and this was, apparently a roast. She seemed to find it amusing - I have a picture of her using her one free hand to give the one finger salute.
