A Brazilian woman is attacked by her desperate husband who shoots her six times in the head. And once in the hand but who cares. None of the shots to her head even broke the skull or seriously needed to be removed.

Damn, what kind of magical magic happened there? Was she really that thick headed or did her husband have the crappiest .38 ever?

Another of God's Miracles.

But I do believe the woman lived because she was using Mozilla Firefox.:fluffle:

Maybe he was using that little swiss revolver that shoots a bullet smaller than a BB...

They did penetrate the skull, so I guess she was just very lucky there.

Actually, he was using a .32 . He may as well have been shooting at her with a over-pumped BB gun. I am happy to see the woman will recover from her injuries.

I'm sorry maybe I missed something, didn't the article say, "Doctors could not explain how Pereira survived the attack. The .32-caliber bullets didn’t break through her skull and didn’t even need to be immediately extracted, doctors said. Pereira also was shot once in the hand."

Am I just missing the difference between the word penetrate and the phrase " break through". Hmmm ...I always thought they were rather synonymous.

Regardless she's a very lucky woman, indeed.

“I know this was a miracle,” Pereira told the TV network. “Now I just want to extract the bullets and live my life.”

I know this incident was horrible, of course, but somehow it keeps reminding me of the opening scene of Bad Taste. I can't stop imagining her slowly shambling towards him with a fire axe, while he's blasting away and thinking, "Man, even zombies drop from headshots!"

No I think she meant she wanted them removed from where they were embedded in her skin not that they passed through her skull

BAH!

If you really want to kill a woman, you should shoot her in part of her anatomy she actually uses!

You know, I'll betcha he was getting pissed off by her constantly putting her hand up and saying "Talk to the hand!" That's why he shot her in the hand. Then he goes and shoots her in the head in the hopes of shutting her up for good.

I can imagine the look on the man's face. It'd just like Agent Smith from the Matrix when they see Neo rise from his 'death' and proceed their collective agent butts.

"No, it can't be! I killed you!"

If the man had used a proper gun instead of a .32 he would at least have killed her...

And stylish murderers don't need guns, sharp-edged weapons are so much more fun ... *evil*

Why would the firearm or bullet manufacturers be liable for this woman's injuries? Because their product was used in an illegal manner? The manufacturers have no control over their products after it leaves their facility.

Hell, under Australian law, they might even have a chance. There are implied conditions regarding "fitness for purpose" in a contract for the sale of goods here...and without going into too many details, I reckon that man might have a case.

Yay, a uni course actually taught me something!

I believe the bullets penetrated the skin but they failed to break through the bone and cartilage(sp.?). It's not that confusing, unless you are a pedant.
