Ok, before you tell me to "Wiki it" or "Google it", I already have.

I need everybody on NSG to tell me whatever they know about a city in New Mexico known as Taos. Wiki tells me that there's a strange phenomenon there in which a low-frequency noise is heard, and who's source and nature are currently unknown. If you know anything about Taos or it's phenomenon of sound, please, I implore you to tell me.

I'd bet it's the ski lift.

You can listen to the hum on that site.It drove me insane after thirty seconds.I couldn't live with that for years,I would kill myself.

It says not all of the population can hear it-11% of Taos' population can.

I know nothing of the town mentioned (sorry New Naliitr), nor had I heard of these humming hot spots before. It's quite interesting, so thanks New Naliitr for raising the topic, and also to the posters who provided links.....

I heard it comes from military submarines or something. Wasn't there something also that military submarines were fucking with the sonar of dolphins.

Conspiracy theorists eat this stuff up as a balanced part of their complete breakfast but it doesn't sound as far fetched to me as some other theories.
