Soooo, yes this is a random topic.

Does anyone here arrange their icons in a fancy way that makes a pretty picture?

Heh, I have mine arranged in a heart-shaped.

Anyone else? Or am I just some crazy internet weirdo?

Most of the time it's the standard line-up, but I'll move them around so they're not blocking out anything important in a pretty picture if it comes to that. :p

I only had to arrange mine to save space., no pretty pictures. However I did go to the trouble of lovingly sorting my games by category and moving these blocks into their own sections of the screen. :)

I have no desktop icons, and no wallpaper! Minimalist...although when I plug in a removable drive or put in a CD it apears on my desktop.

I had mine arranged around a big, circular picture that I had in the middle of my desktop. I've removed that picture now, but haven't bothered changing the icons around. They make a sort of negative of a circle pattern.

No desktop icons of any kind. They're far too messy, ugly, and generally annoying. A desktop is better off without them.

Which is kind of ironic of me to say, seeing as how my real physical desk is covered in piles of books and papers. I'm actually not entirely sure that there is in fact a desk anywhere under there. **lifts keyboard** there is!

I've so many icons on my desktop that they didn't even fit anymore. So I disabled desktop icons. And now it's nice and clean. I'm so used to it now I even find a single icon to be cluttering and annoying.

Nope, they're randomly lined up vertically on the left half of the screen.

Same here, except the top-right corner has a shortcut to all my shortcuts.

I prefer to have only a few icons. One column down the left is all I want.

Four in a line from the left corner of my screen. Just what I need, not alot of bs.

The normal arrangement - vertically from the left. I clear them up whenever they start to cover about half the screen.

My desktop is in a disorderly clump that actually extends off-screen due to lack of space. There's no room for a pattern.

Mine are arranged around the outside so I can see the background and not have it blocked by the icons. :)

All this talk of desktops is making me miss the cycling desktop pictures on SuSE linux. It was nice having the backdrop change one per minute. I save so many pictures for use as wallpapers, it's nice to see them there without having to change it manually.
