Always liked him!

I remember him in an interview where he said he never saw himself on the screen......

Good actor, he'll be missed.

I will have to go think about watching City Slickers again now, though.

I actually thought he was already dead. Well, it was a full life. Good cat, thanks Jack.

Hey, I was going to post that! :p

Does anyone else remember that time he did the push-ups at some awards ceremony?

That was at the Oscars because Billy Crystal was giving him a hard time. Of course it meant that Crystal ripped on him for the rest of the show.

And the NEXT show. On the Academy Award the very next year, Billy Crystal rode out on a giant Oscar statue being pulled out by Jack Palance. :D

:( I miss him. I want him back. *cries quietly* I think I'll adopt a pet turkey in his memory. He had pet turkeys. He kept them in his house, running around loose. He said they crap everywhere but otherwise make good pets. I'm going to get some.

EDIT: I wonder who #3 is going to be. First Ed Bradley, now Jack Palance. Celebrities always die in threes...

We can only hope its someone like K Fed, or Nicole Ritchey...in say...a horrible 76 car pileup. Yeah, that'd make me happy ;)

The ones that have lived to the ripe old age of 70.

Jack, come back, Jack!

(Jack Palance as Jack Wilson in Shane was the greatest outlaw ever!)

Does anyone else remember that time he did the push-ups at some awards ceremony?

Not just push-ups - it was one-handed push-ups at age 73. As quoted in the OP's article:

That's nothing, really. As far as two-handed push-ups, you can do that all night, and it doesn't make a difference whether she's there or not.
