Muslims or Jews and why? Just curious, poll coming

Jews don't try to make me follow their religious laws. I'm not only allowed to eat bacon, I'm allowed to do it with them in the room.

But Allah forbid I should be allowed to depict Muhammed.

That said, Muslims don't whine about the holocaust. Still, that's not an attempt to limit my freedom.

i rekon i like them both equally. i don't hate any groups, religious or otherwise. i know both jews and muslims and have no particular problems with them, no more than with any other people i know. well that's not quite right i know some people who call themselves jews but aren't religious and yet still manage to be rabid zionists, that has always struck me as slightly moronic. i don't know any extremist muslims but i'd probably have a problem with them, too.

I generally get along well with both Jews and Muslims.

I tend to try to not make generalizations about people groups.

however, my best friend in highschool was an orthodox jew, so I guess I am probably more comfortable around them than other people whose religions I don't know as much about, but that's really my fault for being uneducated.

I like them both equally, their both valid religions, their both demonized by bigots, and they both are lumped together with their worst elements to fit some people's agenda.

I have a more favourable opinion of Jewish culture than Muslim culture.
Mostly because Jewish culture is more tolerant of other cultures and Muslim culture is more tolerant of violence as a means to promote their cause.

That being said, individual Muslims I have met, known, worked with and been friends with have almost universally been very nice people that I enjoy in my life immmensely.

I can think of more individuals that I have a general dislike for that are Jewish than I can Muslims, but in neither case does my like or dislike have anytyhing to do with their religious association.

this is a common misconseption. During the high period of Islamic culture when Europe was in the dark ages, Muslims were very tolerant. The jews have used violence to promote their cause more so than Muslims. As seen by their attacks against Brits before the creation of their state and since that with their continued aggression and wars against Muslims.

I try not to generalise people into one homogeneous religious group, so I suppose I'd have to put that I like them both equally. In any case, both Islam and Judaism have been demonised by various groups with their own agendas, especially in the Middle East. Of course, I don't base my opinions of all Muslims or Jews on Israel v. Palestine, either. It doesn't take a genius to work out that not all Muslims (or Palestinians, even) want another Holocaust, and there is no global conspiracy for the Jews to destroy Islam.

In neither case does it have anything to do the culture of either group, it's just the individuals I have interacted with.

Although, you have made me stop and think about just who I have known and if there is anything more than just the individuals and upon reflection, the few Muslims I have actually disliked, were among the most religious and strict Muslims I have known while the Jewish people I have disliked have always been among the more secular Jewish people I know.

The sample size is much too small to be meaningful though.

I don't hate any of the citizens of these nations but I hate the Muslim extremeists that claim God wants them to kill people. And I hate the Israeli government for allowing Arial Sharon to anger Muslims by entering that Muslim church, during prayer, with 1000 armed troops, as a show of force, back in Sept, 2000. (which was followed by several years of violence and the destruction of the WTC a year later)

Well, the girl I am very much in love with is Jewish, and I don't really know any Muslims personally, so I guess I would have to say I have a more favorable opinion of Jews, based on personal experience.

I refuse to lump these big diverse communities into one monolith group and have one common opinion. :p

As for muslims. I do believe they hate the west. I do believe that if they had the chance they would conform us or annihilate us. But I do know this hasnt came about for no reason. They admit that themselves. I'm not afraid of them. They cannot whoop the US by no means.. other than if we just fucking politically cow tow and hesitate. That's Israels war, and we should let them at it(wiht the nukes we provided them with ofcourse) then they (Israel) can go and cuddle up to Russia, which will happen. They have no use for us no more.

The only thing I would disagree with about this post is that Muslims want to destroy the west. I say this as a Muslim and my view I believe is shared with the vast majority of my brothers and sisters around the world.

Only then the raped victim's charges would stick.

If a girl takes up the charge and fails to satisfy the above conditions, she would be then charged for slandering the rapist and get punished instead. Even if sexual activity was proved, and the non-consensual part is not proved, she would still be accused of illegal sex (zina) and punished for that.
