Argentina orders ex-Iran leader held

By MAYRA PERTOSSI, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 33 minutes ago

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - A federal judge Thursday ordered the detention of former Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani and eight others in connection with the 1994 bombing of a Jewish cultural center that killed 85 people, the judge's office said.

A special prosecutor sought the order, alleging that the worst terrorist attack on Argentine soil was orchestrated by leaders of the Iranian government and entrusted to the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah.

What? Hezbollah is connected to Iran? What is the world coming to? Next you'll be telling me there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

So maybe you should stop your excuse-making for Hezbollah.

I'm sure Iran will put them on it's "Countries pissed off with us at the moment" list towards the bottom somewhere.

Maybe they'll care about what Argentina thinks if they survive the next decade or so.

Who's making excuses? They're a major bunch of idiots and a Shi'ite terrorist group. Who else would support them but Iran? A 1994 bombing in Argentina isn't exactly breaking news.

I'm only joking boy. I've never actually seen Fass engaged in excuse-making for Hezbollah.

There are a few non-Islamist groups that support them, for example, the tiny Irish Socialist Worker's Party.

Oceandrive goes way beyond excuse making, into the realm of shameless justifying of atrocities.

Why? Excuse making worked for the US when they supported Ossama and the Taliban.

Not that I see where I made excuses. I just asked "so?" It's not like countries supporting terrorists is anything new.

Was I implying the Reagan regime was better than the Iranian one? I think it's an apt comparison, and their excuses worked for them.

No you seemed to be implying that it was OK for you to make excuses for murderers just because the US Government did.

How many governments do you actually expect honesty or humanity from?
