I have a question. Well in my state people voted on the issues granting gays equal rights as everyone else. However, the bill wasn't passed, and i'm confused on why, I mean gays aren't even bothering anyone, they are as normal as everyone else, and people just cast a dark image upon them because they're different. I'm wondering why didn't this bill get passed, I mean today in our class all kids voted that gays should have equal rights as heterosexuals do too. Right now, why didn't people pass this bill are they afraid of something they don't know or what?
I'm wondering why didn't this bill get passed...Because it didn't get enough votes would be my guess.

Prolly electoral fraud. Its the most probable reason.
Hey, you know people hate the unknown. Marriage has been man & woman for so long that changing that is frightening. Then you have your simple bigotry that they aren't following what is "normal". Or God tells people to hate them. Or maybe they think if their kids hang around them then they will catch "the gay". Some kind of shit like that.

Probably the homophobic leanings of a popular collection of Semitic fairy tales?
