Hello everyone. Although I am a brand new member, I am not new to these forums. Anyway, I've noticed many threads on rock, metal, electronica, etc. and I wanted to created a thread on more conventional music. The major question I'd like to ask is, what is your opinion of the great trumpeteer, Allen Vizzutti? Yes, I know he is not the most conventional of trumpet players, but I think my point still stands. Allen Vizzutti is a Montana-born trumpet player. He is known for his unimaginable technical proficiency on trumpet. I realize that brass players are not as well known as other musicians, but I am a classical/jazz musician myself, and I know little of modern music outside of modern instrumental music. In case, you could not guess, I play trumpet.

Who?
A guy who trumpeted on the Back to the Future soundtrack. Don't worry, we're not uncultured, wikipedia only has a stub on him.

Don't forget he also composed "The Carnival of Venus," an arragenment of the Carnival of Venice that is so technically demanding that many regard it as the most difficult piece of music ever written for trumpet.
