Holy Shit Mr Harper

Saw on the news during work during my break, Mr Harper did something to the tax code, and the markets had the biggest one day drop in history. Bell and Telus's stock prices are both down ~25%.

G'job.

The Conservatives have just screwed over, primarily, the senior population, which uses income trust as a means of earning money to help aid their often scantly pension plans and fixed levels of income.

Further proof that Harper hates everyone except himself!

But even he is on shakie ground.

He doesn't hate everyone except himself - he just holds them all in utter contempt. A worse choice for Prime Minister there hasn't been since the days of Brian Mulroney.

Of course he does. He isn't a conservative for nothing. I feel sorry for the seniors. :(

I was taking about Mulroney. He told CBC that John A McDonald is the only PM that could be better.

Which was a bad idea ... the income trust is a terrible retirement investment. The income is far less guaranteed than other forms of investment, and it's a terrible vehicle from a governance standpoint. The only advantage is favourable taxation, which the government should have put a stop to ages ago.

We're not having another election for quite some time. All the parties are broke and the country is sick of elections. Anyone who forces an election will automatically piss off voters and none of them will be able to fund a campaign anyways.

I will personnally donate the money I had promised to Lad or TC (I forget who) to the NDP if they force an election.

I can't believe I am saying this, but he might actually have done the right thing for the long term (despite the short term pain).

It was only a wish. Besides, the liberals would not support another election at least until they have a leader, which will take us into December. Hopefully it will be someone good. Still, as much as I hate to say it, Harper isn't doing half bad. I don't entirely agree with his policies, but at least he has a spine and doesn't rule by opinion polls. Now if he could only come up with a decent clean air act that would do real stuff...

Well, I really don't like how he has declared women to be "equal enough" and dissolved the group responsable for things like helping to make sure that women are receiving comparable wages and looking after shelters for battered spouses and the like...

Now, I'm no Canadian, but I can still see the humor in this...

*Harper enters the room*

"Ah, the Canadian economy! Looks like it needs some tinkering. I'll just have me a quick look-see..."

*lightly pokes the Canadian economy*

*Canadian economy collapses like a house of cards*

"Oops."

Then you should visit it sometimes. It seems like a place for you, since you spend half your time on NSG spamming anyway.
