I dunno about your Sainsbury's, but my local one (Salford, near/in Ordsall) has now reduced it's roasted almond soya choc bar (Sainsbury's FreeFrom brand) to 30p a bar (they're 50g bars, and usually like 79p). BUY NOW! :)

Good. Vegans should be priced out of food, maybe they will then learn how to eat properly.

That's generally a good place to start. It's usually their fault.

Not sure if this is some rubbish joke, but they generally eat properly, and pricing them out of food aint gonna make em start taking an indirect part in animal cruelty by eating animal-based products.

Rip-off? No, you pay for what you get, and what you get is quality. Yeah, it's been taken over by Cadbury, but it's still nice chocolate.

There was a letter on Ceefax today about illegal immigrants. Someone was trying to blame high house prices in the south-east on them.
Some people are fucking idiots.

Milking a cow isn't cruel. Shearing a sheep isn't cruel.
There is a logical argument for vegetarianism, (although I don't personally agree with it), but veganism is just silly and based on an ignorance of how animals work.

And a logical argument for being a vegetarian is that animal meat, especially red meat isn't good for your health in the long term and you can still get the protien you need from soy products and fish (yes, for some reason, vegetarians don't always think of fish as meat, as it falls into another category).

People used to think there was no logical argument for vegetarianism, and basically thought about vegetarians what they think about vegans now - nuts, not enough nutrients, eating dead animals doesn't cause any cruelty, etc.
Milking a cow IS cruel. It involves the calf being taken away soon after birth so that the milk can be used for humans instead of the calf, it involves male calves being killed as they are no use to the dairy industry, it involves cows being killed once they have stopped producing milk, and of course the removal of calves causes much distress. in addition, in factory farms (non-organic farms), cows are injected with drugs to make their udders swell to produce more milk, something that is very painful.
And I'm not sure about sheep, but I personally believe if they weren't supposed to have wool in summer, they would have a natural ability to shed it.

The general (and good dictionary and Vegetarian Society) definition of a vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat animals. Fish are part of the animal kingdom and have been shown to have an ability to feel pain in studies - yet when caught, they are left to suffocate to death as they can't breath our air.

Some people don't drink milk because it contains blood and hormones. Besides, think about it: Its like drinking from a cow boob!
